Whether your pet stays with me or I care for them in your home, your dog (s) will receive the same level of care I give my own pets—fresh food and water, regular meals, exercise, playtime, affection, and close attention to their individual needs. Further, I have experience with administering medicine such as eye drops, ingestible liquids/pills, and shots. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you're away, giving you peace of mind that they're in capable hands. I’ve been surrounded by furry friends my entire life! When I was a kid, my family had two dogs along with other animals, providing me with a foundation for loving and caring for pets. Since then, family and friends have trusted me to provide pet care services including pet sitting- feeding, play, and providing overnight company. I have 24 years of experience with small and medium sized dogs. Care for dogs is my only profession, allowing me to give your dog my full attention. My home is safe, welcoming, and open, and my friendly dog loves having dog visitors to play with. Your dog will be free to roam my home- welcome on the furniture- and have plenty of space to run in my large fenced in yard. Additionally, I am located near the heart of Dowtown Royal Oak for dogs who are excited by people and other dogs, as well as several parks with open spaces within walking distance. I currently have a three dog limit for boarding and pet sitting.

SYDNEY IS THE BEST! This was the first time our dog, Primo, stayed with someone who wasn’t already familiar with him, so naturally, we were a little nervous about leaving him while we were away on vacation. From the very beginning, Sydney completely put our minds at ease. She took the time to address every concern we had, answered all of our questions, and reassured us that Primo would be safe, comfortable, and very well taken care of. Sydney was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and professional throughout Primo’s entire stay. What we appreciated most was her communication. Every morning and evening, she sent us pictures along with updates and notes about how Primo was doing. Being able to see him happy and comfortable allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation without worrying about him. It was clear that Sydney treated Primo with genuine care and attention, and that means everything to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience leaving him with someone new. Sydney has definitely earned our trust, and we will absolutely be using her services again in the future. Sydney has always been a wonderfully attuned caretaker for all of the cats and dogs that she has known over the years. She is quite detail-oriented when it comes to meeting the needs of her pets and other family pets. She is a responsible, dependable, and reliable caretaker for her doggy and kitties, as well as the pets of close friends and family members. She is affectionate and empathetic to the needs of furry friends and furry family members. I would definitely recommend her services when it comes to searching for a caretaker who will give your pets the care and love that they deserve when you are away.
I highly recommend Sydney as a pet caregiver. She watched my cat, Phoebe, while I was traveling abroad last year, and her reliability gave me complete peace of mind. Sydney was always dependable and attentive, making sure Phoebe was well-fed, comfortable, and cared for throughout my trip. Her communication was excellent—she sent me a photo every day, which was incredibly reassuring and kept me updated. Most importantly, Sydney clearly has a genuine affection for animals and treats them with warmth and kindness, as if they were her own. I would trust her with Phoebe again without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional pet sitter.
Sydney has taken care of my cat, Pupa, a few times now. Pupa is not the most friendly cat and does not easily trust new people. Sydney was extremely patient and respectful of Pupa’s journey to trust her. Sydney allowed Pupa to come to her, and I was very grateful when Pupa asked Sydney for pets and a cuddle! Sydney is also respectful of my home during home visits and makes sure she plays with Pupa to get some exercise in for the day. I would 100% recommend her as a pet sitter. I look forward to working with Sydney in the future as well.

Schedule
I’m home full time, so I’m able to provide dogs care with my full attention. Whether morning, afternoon, or night I’m available round the clock to fit you and your pets schedule and needs!

Safety, trust & environment
I’m happy to provide care in your home or mine! My home is safe, welcoming, and pet friendly- with large areas to roam or smaller gated spaces ideal for dogs who prefer time alone, are shy, or being newly socialized. I have a large fenced in yard dogs both small and big can enjoy and many local parks within walking distance! Further, my dog Bernie is an excellent playmate for all dogs I care for.
Pets
A typical day
The day starts with bathroom breaks, followed by breakfast. After breakfast, I love to give the dogs I care for either walks or stimulating play time- including foraging, lick mats, puzzle feeders, and play with the toys of their choice. I also facilitate social time with other small and medium dogs, so they get used to being around and playing with other dogs! Social play is closely monitored to ensure the safety of all dogs. For senior dogs and dogs with limited mobility this time includes lots of cuddles and rest! After play time, there is plenty of time for dogs who’d like to rest. The evening is rounded out with dinner, followed by bathroom breaks, walks, and/or play and social time!
