Pet care experience
A dog-lover living on the island
Growing up a huge dog lover, I’ve become my friends’ stand-in dog sitter while they’re away for weekend trips. I grew up with bulldogs, boxers, huskies, and mutts- since moving from FL to Charlotte, NC to St Simon’s Island to be closer, I miss my dogs back at home more than anything! We’ve rescued dogs abandoned in our yard to picking them out & raising them from pups. We have 2 Aussie labradoodles & a German short hair pit mutt. I feed, walk, bathe, play, and of course soak up as many snuggles as I can, but will follow any special instructions given for extra care. I also like to send photo updates so you know your babies are enjoying themselves. ❣️

I have a full-time sales job with lots of travel, so I can’t get a dog of my own yet but love being around them!

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a home with no other pets in a very dog friendly neighborhood. I’m currently getting a fence installed, so my yard will be fenced in very soon. Once fenced, I’m excited to throw the ball and play in the backyard. I like taking dogs on long walks if it’s nice out but avoid the dog park unless told otherwise. If I’m dog or housesitting in a clients home, I make sure the pups are comfortable and always leave it cleaner than I found it. Southern manners matter to me!
A typical day
I work remotely, but love being outdoors. Any chance I can take a walking break between meetings, on a lunch break, I’ll take it & I’m just missing a walking companion to go with me. If you work in the office or long, demanding hours then I can help ensure your pet is still receiving the care and enrichment they deserve during those busy works hours. That way there’s no guilt that your furry friends are missing out during the day.
