Pet care experience

Give me all the fur babies!

I grew up dog and cat sitting for people in my neighborhood. I adopted an elderly French bulldog with health needs and took care of her until the end of her life. This included administering lots of oral and eye drop medications. I am a licensed nurse, so I have no problems administering medications and injections. I also always had family dogs and a cat running around the house that I would help take care of. It brings me so much joy to get to spend time with them. We don't deserve them!

Sydney is the best. She is reliable and someone we have no worries about leaving our dog in her care. We will continue to use Sydney as long as she’ll have us!

Sydney was incredible - very friendly and responsive, and my cat loved her! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a caring sitter who goes above and beyond for your pet! :)

Sydney was outstanding! She took care of my son’s cat and we were updated regularly of how the cat was doing. She’s very passionate in working with animals and highly recommend her.

Schedule

I am a clinical mental health counselor. I occasionally pick up an eight hour shift as a nurse at a primary care clinic. My husband works from home and is also an animal lover. He is happy to pitch in with care as well. Between the two of us, someone is almost always home. We live in a three story townhouse. I take the dogs out on a leash.

Safety, trust & environment

I am happy to follow whatever rules you and your fur babies have in place. Safety first! I love walking, so I am happy to have a friend tag along.

A typical day

I am minutes away from Richland Park and the walking trail at McCabe that I often frequent. I also love playing in the house with their toys to keep them entertained.

I would love to know about their personality, energy level, and any expectations that you may have, so that I can meet them. I would love to know how they signal things to you, like when it is time to potty. It will also be helpful to know their endurance level so that I can plan the length of their walks accordingly. I don't want to overexert anyone!
