My home/yard is fully fenced and pet-proofed, with no toxic plants, hazardous chemicals, or small objects your pet could get into. I keep a separate area for pets to settle in if they need quiet time, especially when adjusting to a new environment. If I care for multiple pets at once, I only accept animals that are a good match temperament-wise, and I always supervise their interactions.
