I'm a law student with morning classes, so my afternoons and evenings are open and I'm generally free from noon onward. Overnight and weekend stays work well for me since I study from home anyway, which means your pet gets someone actually around rather than someone dropping in and leaving.

Safety, trust & environment
Most of what keeps a pet safe is just communication ahead of time. I'd rather ask you five questions before the booking than guess about something once you're on a plane, so I'll want to know the routine, the vet's info, and anything your pet is particular about. On walks I check the weather first and wipe paws afterward, which matters more than people think once the salt goes down in winter. I won't take your pet anywhere beyond the usual walk without asking you first, and I'll always ask what they're actually comfortable with rather than assuming. In your home I keep things the way I found them, stick to the schedule you give me, and text you if anything seems off. And there are always a few unscheduled head scratch sessions in there too.
Information suzy n. would like to know about your pet
I've worked with senior dogs and with anxious pets, so tell me what I'm walking into. If there are stairs they can't do anymore, a thunder routine that helps, or a person they're wary of, I want to know before the first visit rather than figuring it out on day two. A written checklist of meals, meds, and schedules is genuinely helpful and I'll follow it closely. Photos of where things are kept save us both a lot of texting.
A typical day
A day usually starts with head scratches and the "do you want to go for a walk" conversation, which they always win. On the walk we might make a new friend or two, and any squirrel within a hundred feet will be thoroughly told off. Back home it's breakfast and a treat for a job well done. The middle of the day goes however they want it to go, whether that's the same toy on repeat for an hour or a long nap on the couch next to me while I study. Potty breaks every two to four hours, or more often if that's their routine. Evenings are for a movie and a serious amount of belly rubs. Last potty break before bed, one more good boy treat, and a goodnight forehead kiss.

Reviews

Suzy was amazing. Followed all our instructions and stayed with Rosy the entire time. Would recommend her to anyone and hope to be able to use her again.

Suzy did such great a job house sitting Strudel! She was punctual, kept our house immaculate, made our pup feel calm when we were away, and was a great communicator! We have worked with Suzy before and certainly will again; she’s everything you want in a dog and house sitter , and allows you to not have to worry about what’s going on at home while you’re away. Thanks Suzy!

Suzy was such a wonderful dog/house sitter! Incredibly communicative, so gentle and loving with Strudel, and was a wonderful house guest on top of it all. She took frame-worthy pictures, she was very punctual about all times discussed, responded quickly, was professional, and she took care of our house and kept it clean during her stay. Would not hesitate to book again!
Suzy was fantastic - provided ample updates/photos and did a great job with my dog. She was super communicative and I always felt in the loop with regards to walks, feeding, etc. Thank you Suzy!
