Hello! Growing up with cats and dogs I can't remember a time in my life I did not have a pet. As a young adult just starting out after college I did a lot of pet sitting to suppliment my income. Back in those days I did drop-in visits/walking and housesitting for many families on a regular basis. After getting married and starting our own family my husband and I have always had rescue pups so I definatly understand these sweet babies sometimes come with some fears and anxiety and need a little extra special love and care. I also have experience with dog training if your pup needs to be practicing obedience skills or special routines during visits. I understand the importance of keeping routines and skills sharp. These days my kids are grown and almost all flown and I wanted to get back into pet sitting because I love animals and as a life long pet owner I know how important it is to have someone you can trust to care for your beloved pet when you are not able to be there. I work part-time from home and have 1 kiddo still at home, but he is in school during the day, so I'm pretty flexible meet your pets needs for visits or walks during the day. Weekdays or weekends work for me! Upon arriving at your home I will always do a quick visual survey of the area your pet stays in when home alone for anything unusual. I also observe the pet for any unusual behavior that could indicate a potential problem. I always will send detailed messages to you from the visit so you know right away if I did note something unusual for you to keep an eye on. In an emergency I would of course reach out to you right away! Bwfore leaving your home I always double check doors or crates are secure your pet in their designated area and ensure the house is securly locked before leaving. Never taking chances for a anxious or curious pet to escape and be in potential danger. If you are ever need a little extra help I'm always happy to get mail from the mailbox, bring in packages, pick up the paper or move garbage cans in and out.
