I work at home, so it’s quite easy to take breaks and pet sit/ walk easily during the day and evenings. My schedule is flexible, it will be easy to do last minute jobs as well. I frequently leave town on weekends, but sometimes I am home.

About Suzanne M.
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
I can care for your pet in your home. I can check if they have enough food and water available give them potty breaks, walks and runs as a part of the service. I can clean up any messes found where the dog is kept. I can also follow detailed instructions if you need everything to be done a certain way. I always operate in a careful manor being sure your pet is okay through everything I do. I can play with the dogs and cats indoors as well, give medications, feed and give the attention they need. I am careful in assessing the area and what’s going on outside or inside the house to be sure the pet is safe. I look at the pet being in my care as if it were someone’s child.

Information Suzanne M. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if there are any issues with the pet beforehand so that I can get the heads up and avoid the issues. I do have techniques to get a dog that is hard to get on a leash - that’s not a usual behavior, but I’m ready for it. I need to have instructions for administration of meds if needed, please let me know anything that will help in caring for your pet no matter how insignificant you may think it is. Instructions on something that doesn’t work right, like a gate or door, etc that would be quite helpful. Shy dogs can be a challenge, let me know if there’s anything that can help with!
A typical day
I arrive early to park and be sure to start the service on time. I greet the pets when I get there and try to take the dogs out immediately to go potty. I will take them on a walk- sometimes the entire visit will be taking a walk or running with the dog. I will see if they need food or water make all the necessary checks to see how the pet is doing. Some visits will be more of a sit down and just comfort the dog for older dogs that don’t get around much. I might play a few games with the dogs or cats indoors. Cats will be checked to see if the litter box is ok, any messes will be cleaned up. Their water and food will get checked as well. Much of the tasks that need to be complete like topping off food, water, cleanup, etc will be done quickly followed by the fun stuff for as long as the visit lasts.

Pet care experience
Hello, I’m Suzanne - you may have seen me in the last year working on another app doing lots of on demand walking. I maintain a 5 star rating for nearly 500 services completed. A very high percentage of those customers make me preferred, they’ve given me great honors that I really appreciate. I would have hoped to have gotten at least one customer here on Rover in the last year, but that’s not the case. I would like my pro/ repeat/ or regular customers to meet me here as the licensing, support, etc is all included on Rover, and Rover is really just a great support system for independent walkers. The reason for my 0 stars rating is due to no Rover requests at all. The one year, approx. 500 services completed is my most recent experience, but I’ve had a few dogs over the years and worked part time for a local pet sitting/ walking service back in 2017 as well. I’m really looking for regular customers - once or twice a week or more here, short to long walks, runs or whenever needed. I would love to be your preferred walker. I am not going to be tired out from your puppy/ hyper dog - I find that quite often the puppy will be tired when they come back! That goes for any other age of dog that seems to like running/ jogging. I find that a dog that likes running will get ~1.5 - 2 miles on a 30 min and ~3 miles on a 60 min. I can’t run all day, but maybe I could : ) Any how I hope this gives you a good idea of what I’m capable of delivering for your fur baby. Recent Developments: Rover is offering a dog training course and I am currently enrolled it. I will be able to offer dog training here on Rover soon. note to Owners that book with me: To be very honest with you - I walk your dog for the agreed upon time, but I always get there early. It is a rare instance that I’m running late. I come early not just to try and leave your home for the walk right on time, I do it in case there are issues in parking, entering, get the leash on, etc. If you would like to do a meet and greet first, please request. I look forward to meeting you and your pet!

Reviews
As a good friend to Suzanne, I have pet sat for her dog while she was out of town and she called everyday to check on him. Whenever she sees a dog or a cat video on YouTube she expresses her compassion and interest. She's just an animal lover, it's that simple
