Pet care experience

I must stop to pet every dog I see.

I’m not just “a dog person”, I love dogs. I’ve had a dog my entire life. I know that raising a good dog is just like raising a good adult; set boundaries, be firm but give lots of love. Never met a dog I didn’t like. Your pet will not be “wrecked” when they return to you. They’ll have a chance to be socialized w/ my two “dudes” and will get the attention and love you’d give them. I really love dogs. Did I mention that already. If they’re at my home, they will enjoy some space to adventure in a fenced yard. We’ll take hikes in the hills and walks in the neighborhood. And everyone in the house loves a good evening snuggle while we watch a bit of TV. Just let me know your furry friends routine, so we can all be successful while they stay.

Suzanne was amazing with our dog while we were away! She was reliable, kind, and kept us updated, which gave us great peace of mind. Our dog was clearly well cared for. We would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her!

Schedule

Our furry guest are incorporated into our daily schedule. Morning walks, mid-day adventures and evening before bed-time "poo" strolls. If I am not home (a Costco run can take three hours), we crate all the dogs. If I'm gone for more than four hours, I have my neighbor come over to hang-out with everyone while they play in the yard.

We have a fenced yard and lots of rabbits and squirrels to chase. Because we have a pool, the dogs are not left alone outside - ever.

Pets

A typical day

Adventures hiking the PV preserve trails. Evening neighborhood walks. And, if our borrowed pals like a good run, we have two very friendly neighbor dogs that LOVE to run with our boarded guests.

Allergies? Do they get along with other dogs? We have a pool, are they swimmers? Because we live surrounded by the PVPLC preserves, we have lots of nature, that means rabbits, raccoons, opossums, fox and coyotes. We keep the animals inside when it gets dark, which helps keep them safe. Is your dog “house-trained”? We are a "crate-trained" house, so all the dogs are crated when we need to leave for errands. We board only pooches that are also crate trained. We limit overnight boarding to dogs over 2-years old. We’ve found that, although adorable, the younger pooches just need a bit more time to grow and develop to be part of our small home.
