Owning and working with Dogs has been a big part of my life. Prior to moving to Steamboat, I was a Petsitter for 9 years. I walked dogs, boarded them at my house, and did in house visits. I received my Dog Behavior Consultant Certificate from the Marin Humane Society in 2012. Currently we have one Bernese Mountain Dog named Tessa. She enjoys playing and hanging out with the dogs You can choose to have your dog come for doggie daycare and boarding at my home, there your dog can enjoy our Steamboat Mountain Home with nice views and trails for us to explore nearby. I work part-time at another job and then at home the rest of the time. So I will be able give your dog personalized attention and care. I have plenty of time to exercise and explore our town with your pup. The dogs like hanging out during school hours and we normally have enough time for walks throughout the day. I have an area where a doggie client can take care of business. We keep the pups indoors with us and never leave any dogs unattended outside.

Suzanne was SUCH A BLESSING. Finding her to watch my waffles at the last minute while we went to strawberry hot springs was amazing. She took waffles on a nice long walk, made her feel right at home and even hid a bag of treats and a hand written note in waffle’s bag that we found after getting home. You MUST book with Suzanne while in steamboat. She is such a gem and we are so thankful for her loving hospitality.
We were so lucky to find Suzanne and her family to watch our beloved dog Josie while we skiing at Steamboat! From the moment we met them, we knew Josie would be in great hands. They were incredibly welcoming and clearly experienced with dogs and have formal training experience. Throughout our trip, they sent us regular updates and photos, which put our minds at ease. It was obvious that Josie was having a blast! When we picked her up, she was happy and relaxed. We're so grateful to Suzanne and her family for taking such wonderful care of our furry family member. We wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a dog sitter!
Suzanne was so great! She was able to accommodate us last-minute for dog sitting. Communication was quick and efficient, she was very friendly, and she took great care of our dog, Theo! Schedule
I am mostly at home and work part-time. Our son goes to school Monday through Friday, except when there is time off from school. We are at home when we have a dog staying with us. Normally I inform my clients that I have an appointment during their pup’s stay. I can either do doggie daycare or boarding at my home.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog would hang out with us indoors. We don’t leave the dogs unattended . We can crate a dog, if that is preferred by you. We don’t have a fenced in area at our home, but prefer to leash dogs for potty breaks outside. Safety is at utmost importance for me.

A typical day
Whatever your dog requires, be it walking on the numerous paths and trails in Steamboat, spending time, snuggling or playing. I am here to make your dog feel comfortable and happy while you are away. I also offer to practice or reinforce positive behaviors as needed.
