Pet care experience

Hello there, While growing up in Concord, MA, my family owned a black lab named Hez. He was my dog, and I took him to obedience/training school. This spawned a dog walking and training biz in my hood around 1980. I went off to college and, in waltz, a swanky black kitten that I named Velcrow. She moved west with me and lived 16 years, so I learned to cook for senior cats. A beautiful ex-racer greyhound named Diesel Lamar had me at the first meeting, so I bought a van so he could come with me wherever I went. That turned into a bi-coastal commute. So we spent days together exploring this country while making the trip from SF to NYC 2x a year for three years. He was a thin-skinned 35 mph bullet. He had his fair share of scrapes, bee stings and wipeouts. So I am very well versed in first aid: butterfly bandaging of wounds, removal of ticks, and administering drugs of all sorts. Diesel broke my heart when he passed on in 2016. I recently moved to back to Concord and am now in Stow due to the pandemic to be with family. My family and I cared for my brother, who had cancer, from 2019 to 2021, and I'm happy to say he is fully recovered. I have remained in the area and work in community engagement and cultural planning with local municipalities.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Zannah. It was obvious from our first meeting how caring and kind she would be with Rosie. Zannah sent frequent updates, took Rosie on walks and true adventures, and is so easy to talk to! Rosie can get a little anxious when she senses we are leaving but she was so calm around Zannah - we are so grateful to have found her!!

Zannah did a great job house sitting for us. It was the worst icy weather of the year but she made the most of it and we came home to happy animals and were really grateful she was able to do it. She’s responsive and sent us daily updates.
