I have been a pet professional for over 20 years. I am a Certified Canine Behavior and Training Specialist with a background as a professional groomer and veterinary technician. I specialize in helping pets feel comfortable while their parents away from home. I provide a comfortable, low stress, company for pets so you can enjoy your vacation. I welcome pets that have been normally turned away, have special medical needs, separation anxiety, high energy or just need a someone that understands them and makes them feel safe while their parents are away. I encourage picture updates and video chatting with pet parents so you can be at ease while your pets stay and play. I keep your pets on their same schedule just as if they were at home. Feeding times, play times, snack times, nap times and more. They are supervised at all times while outside or inside for their safety. I currently work from home and can provide regular care and company for your pets that are accustomed to a working family. They will enjoy good company all night, routine outings, weekend games and enrichment. Routine and safety is key to comfort and success. In my home, pets are integrated as family members. They join in our daily living and care. While on their own home, I try to maintain a lifestyle that they are used to to keep them feeling secure while their parents are vacationing without them.

Susanna takes great care of our Golden Retriever, Stella. Susanna only takes on one client at a time which I appreciate since Stella wants to be part of a friendly pack, but the coming and going of strange dogs would be disruptive and anxiety-provoking. I appreciate Susanna’s willingness to hold the boundary of one visiting (or reconnoitering) dog at a time, which set my mind at ease.
This was our first time using Susanna as a dog sitter, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. She was extremely responsive and sent multiple text messages and pictures to keep us updated throughout Apollo's stay. It was clear from the start that she is very knowledgeable about dogs and genuinely cares about their well-being. She took the time to understand Apollo's unique temperament and needs which gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were away. Her communication, professionalism, and caring nature exceeded our expectations. We felt confident that Apollo was safe, comfortable, and received lots of love and attention. We would absolutely use her services again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter.
This was the second time Susanna watched Rocco while I was out of town. She gives amazing updates and makes me feel 100% confident Rocco was taken care of.

Schedule
I work from home. This allows continuous supervision and interaction for pets that can be already experiencing stress from being away from their home and family.

Pets are encouraged to take their time to feel comfortable. Because many pets that stay with me have unique situations, I introduce them slowly to my pets and only if they are comfortable. I do not host a doggie daycare.

A typical day
In my home, pets can enjoy games of fetch outside or quiet time by the garden, I live in a quiet neighborhood. Pets are welcome on the furniture if they find comfort on the couch at home.
