A house is not a Home without a dog
"There are people with dogs, and there are 'dog people;' I am definitely the latter!" -Sooz 😊 I grew up with cats, gerbils, rodents and outdoor dogs, and have always loved animals. My entire adult life have had 1 (usually two) indoor dogs, from puppies to seniors. Currently we (my husband, 14 year old son and I) have 2 dogs (an old Chihuahua mix and a 5 year old Beagle), as well a ball python and several toads. :) We live in the Clear Lake area close to NASA. I carry Pet Care Insurance as well, so I can only have 5 guests at a time. I am happy to do drop in visits for ANY pet, but I only board dogs in my home. 🤗

Susan was very communicative and caring. We met a day before daycare and she asked all the right questions, it really shows how much she cares about taking good care of your babies. Throughout the day, Susan sent tons of pics and updates, my babies always looked so happy and loved. Highly Recommend!!
Our dogs were well taken care of again by Susan. She is fantastic and our dogs are always spoiled when she cares for them.
Susan is fantastic. From sending updates daily and the extra little things she does to make sure my dog is happy and feels safe, I just can’t say enough good things. I’d give 100 stars if I could.

Schedule
I recently retired from my job in public education, so I have plenty of time to love and pamper your pups, in our home or yours! I will do drop in visits at any type of pet, but I only board dogs in my home.

Safety, trust & environment
I will follow all instructions from the pet owner with meticulous care! Walking, feeding, cuddling, medication, or whatever else is needed to ensure your pet feels safe and loved. ❤ For boarding - we have a crate (only if needed/requested by the owner), tile/laminate floors, various sizes of dog beds, and a big fenced backyard. We prefer small/medium sized dogs but we have boarded large dogs with great success as well. We allow free roaming in the house but have baby gates should separation be necessary, and we will take them out in the backyard as often as they need! We let them sleep wherever they please, too. We are pretty pet-centric around here!
Pets
A typical day
I know how important exercise is for dogs! With my own high energy pup we play lots of fetch and tug. My teen son has a lot of energy and adores dogs so he will give them plenty of active playtime if they want it. I let the dog take the lead when it comes to playtime. When they are tired I can switch to belly-rubs and back scratches. We live against Exploration Green (Clear Lake Area not far from NASA), so we have a beautiful lake right behind our house with a one-mile path around it. For boarding- please no drop.off or pick up between 830 and 11:30 am on Sundays as we are church-goers.
