I am a lifelong lover of animals with over 30 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. Throughout the years, I have worked with The Chi Society of Glastonbury, CT and The Humane Society of Newington, CT, as a foster and adopter of animals. The experience of adopting and caring for animals has given me the insight, compassion and understanding needed to make any dog feel safe and welcome in my home. I have a great deal of experience caring for senior dogs and the health issues that come with an aging animal and I welcome dogs of any age. I know how difficult it is to leave any pet, especially an older one, in someone's care when you have to travel and having a safe, calm place for them to stay means everything.

Wonderful. We were very nervous leaving our dog for his first extended stay with a dog sitter. Susan put our minds at ease right away. Her professionalism and quick bond with our dog made us feel good about leaving him. Susan was great at keeping us posted on how our little guy was doing with texts and pictures. And at pick up, our pup was happy to see me but was in no hurry to leave. We will absolutely use Susan in the future.
Bailey enjoyed another wonderful stay with Susan! She accommodated out travel plans over Christmas and it worked out beautifully. We so appreciate her care and love for Bailey and can rest easy knowing he is in very capable hands each time he stays with her. With just one other dog there, we are certain Bailey loved the calm and attention he received. Thank you again Susan! You are a gem!
Susan is wonderful! We travelled from OH to visit family and Bailey loved staying with Susan for the second time. Her love and experience with dogs is very evident. Small and medium size breeds are welcome and must be gentle and friendly with other dogs. Must be completely housebroken and have necessary vaccinations, including their Bordetella shot.
A typical day
Daily activities vary depending on the age and health of your dog. They can include walks in the neighborhood, playtime in the yard and of course lots of snuggle time for everyone.

I am semi-retired and devote most of my time to my dogs and my gardens. I own my own home and have a large, private, fenced in yard that abuts a few acres of woods and farmland. It is a safe and wonderful place for any dog to explore. I can devote uninterrupted time to your pup and there is plenty of time for walks in the neighborhood, lazy days in the yard and exploring.
