Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets, I prioritize their comfort, safety, and routine—whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in theirs. I take time to get to know each pet's personality and preferences so I can provide personalized attention and care.

Information Susan S. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting a pet, I like to know as much as possible about their routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide the best care. Some things I always ask: - Feeding schedule and any dietary restrictions - Medication instructions, if applicable - Energy level and favorite activities - How they are with other animals, people, or children - Any fears, triggers, or behavioral quirks (e.g., separation anxiety, leash reactivity, nervousness during storms) - House rules (e.g., are they allowed on furniture? crated at night?) The more I know upfront, the more I can make your pet feel safe, happy, and at home while you’re away!
A typical day
I love tailoring activities to match each dog’s personality and energy level! For active pups, we’ll go on fun walks, play fetch, or enjoy tug-of-war sessions. For more mellow dogs, we’ll have cuddle time, slow strolls, or just hang out in the yard or by the window. If your dog loves car rides, I'm happy to include a safe little outing (with your permission, of course)!

Reviews

Kenny had a great visit! Thank you for caring for him

Lacy absolutely loves her bestie Tanner!!! We are very grateful for the wonderful care.

Easy to work with. Flexible and accommodating. Her dog is a great mate for mine.

Susan was wonderful with my fur baby, Ezio & he absolutely loved her. No matter when I would contact her, she responded immediately. She updated me on their walk & sent adorable pictures. She was very dependable & accommodating to a few of my minor changes. I will definitely use her again, and highly recommend her!!
