I provide in-home care in my clients’ homes, and extended stays work especially well for me. If you’re going out of town, you can count on me not only to care for your pets, but also to help with little things that bring peace of mind—like bringing in the mail, watering plants, or keeping an eye on the house. Having owned four homes myself, I understand how important it is to know everything is safe and cared for while you’re away.

From 2012 to 2020, I held a USDA license under the Animal Welfare Act. During that time span, I was responsible for the daily care of over 1,000 exotic animals. My role included maintaining detailed health records, administering medications, and ensuring each animal’s well-being under the supervision of a local veterinarian. This experience taught me the importance of consistency, patience, and compassion in animal care—and I carry those values into everything I do.

Pet care experience
Gentle, attentive in-home care for senior pets, pets with medical needs, and dogs who are happiest with consistent companionship and calm reassurance while their families are away. Many pet owners reach out because their pets need more attentive care than a quick drop-in visit can provide. Overnight house sitting provides evening-to-morning companionship and supervision for approximately 12 hours (typically between 7–9 PM arrival and 7–9 AM departure). For pets who benefit from additional daytime companionship or supervision, many families choose to add Extended Care or 24-Hour Continuous Care so their pets receive more consistent care throughout the day. Midday drop-in visits are also available for pets who simply need a potty break, feeding, medication, or a short visit while you are away. Several care levels and service options are available as add-ons and may be adjusted within the booking total depending on the level of care requested. A visual overview of these care options, service levels, scheduling windows, and pricing examples can be found in the graphics included in the photos on my profile. I specialize in caring for senior pets, pets with medical needs, and dogs who benefit from extended companionship while their owners are away. I have experience providing medications, monitoring pets who need extra attention, and maintaining consistent routines that help pets feel comfortable and secure. I also work with pets who experience separation anxiety or who simply feel more relaxed when someone is home for longer periods of time. Because I focus on providing attentive, high-quality care, I accept a limited number of clients at a time so every pet receives the time, consistency, and attention they deserve. I’m always happy to schedule a meet-and-greet so we can talk about your pet’s needs and make sure it’s the right fit for everyone.
Reviews

Susanna is the absolute best!!! She is the sweetest, kindest, most gentle and loving human. There was an instant connection with her and I. And her and our pets. I felt safe and comfortable with her and my pets in a way I have never had. She gave updates. And I felt like i was talking with my friend. I never had to worry once with our precious cargo. I knew they were well loved, and well taken care of. She’s just the most magical human. Bringing a sense of calm to our entire household. ❤️

Instantly adore!! Susanna was amazing. So kind, so loving! Instant connection with her! Our fur friends loved her as well. They became fast friends. We felt comfortable and safe leaving our precious pals with her.

We could not have asked for a better experience! Shiloh was in the most wonderful hands and so well cared for.
