Pet care experience

Pawsitively Excited to Petsit!

Hello! My name is Susan and I grew up with both small (mini-dachshund, maltese, Lhasa apso, mini-schnauzer) and large (German shepherd, labs) breeds. I am in my late-30s and am saving up to upgrade my home, doing something I love doing! I currently have one active vizsla (Kibo) and know how much active pups enjoy a walk or a trip to the dog park. Even lower-energy dogs enjoy a walk, if not for exercise then for the sights and sounds and smells! I generally walk briskly, bring plenty of water, and keep (my) dogs on track (no eating anything off the ground, etc) and on task (no socializing with any other dogs unless I have walked the dog before and BOTH the owner and I an comfortable). I also have experience taking care of cats, but am unfortunately too allergic to have them stay by me.

We're very lucky to have Susan look after our two pups when we travel! We can leave with peace of mind, knowing they're in the best hands possible.

She did a wonderful job! She kept me up to date the whole time and my cat was very happy and calm when I returned. She also did a great job keeping everything clean and cleaning his litter box. Thanks Susan!

I met Susan September 2010 in Tampa, FL. Susan had taken a position as Lead cell culture scientist in our Personalized Genomics laboratory Department. Her exact words were "I love taking care of animals" I new she going to be a great fit and she was. She was promoted to Sr. Biological Scientist soon after and we became good friends too. She and I share our love for dogs (animals in general) Susan shares her home with to beautiful babies of her own (we both had a fondness for dachshunds). I have the babies and a bird and would trust them whole heartedly with Susan anytime I'm out of town as she is the most aware and meticulous person Ive met in a while. I can't say enough praised about Susan.

Susan P. is a very patient, loving and caring individual. I have known Susan for many years both as a friend and co-worker and she is reliable, responsible, but overall a very trusting person. She is always there when I need her and goes the extra mile. I trust her with our students at my business and with my two large, rambunctious dogs. She makes a fantastic caregiver. I highly recommend Susan!

Schedule

I have one active vizsla (Kibo) so regular pet care is already a very important part of my routine schedule! I work near home and have a fairly flexible work schedule so I have plenty of time during the week for your pets!

If your dog likes to play fetch or with other toys, I’m happy to oblige! Or if your dog has more of an investigative personality, I’m happy to let him/her smell to his/her content on walks around the neighborhood!

I’d appreciate knowing about any medical history or behavior issues to be prepared for, whether that’s being overzealous and friendly or a bit timid/afraid of other dogs, so I can plan accordingly. Happy to tailor my schedule and habits to your pups individual needs!
