Dog care and exercise with love
I’ve worked with animals, mostly dogs and horses my whole life. My career as a Ship’s Captain makes it impossible for me to have my own pets, so I care for others’s pets, like they are my own. I am very responsible and resourceful. I will always keep you informed on how your dog is, I’ll send you photos, a LOT! I completely respect owners wishes and direction regarding dog care, diet and exercise. I’m a fit person, and enjoy exercise myself. I enjoy the company of a dog when exercising. Makes us both happy. When I care for a dog in your home, I understand the boundaries. My home is in a beautiful area, with plenty of room. I do have a fenced space. I spend a lot of time with who I’m boarding, since I am on leave when I do pet care. I am happy to take care of multiple pets from the same home. However, I do try to take care of only one family at a time.

Gio had a wonderful time exploring Susan's yard. She was great with him, and we got lots of updates along the way. She was personable and had great communication. We would definitely use her again.
Our pup had a great day with Susan while we were out and about. She was very welcoming and provided lots of updates, including photos and videos. We were very glad to have a safe space for our pet for the day and felt lucky to have found Susan. She was also very understanding and flexible with our plans and went above and beyond.
Lucy ABSOLUTELY loved her stay with Susan. What a caring, loving, attentive person she is! We will definitely let her stay and play again. The property is a doggy playland, and Lucy was in heaven.
Nova loved her time with Susan! Nova got lots of outside time and many new sniffs :) Susan was amazing with keeping us updated as well. We will definitely go to Susan again if we're in the area!
Milo had a great time at Susan's! He got to explore outdoors, watch squirrels, and get in lots of sniffing. He was happy and - best of all - tired when I picked him up, and quickly fell asleep in the car. If we're in the area again, I'll definitely see if Susan is available for dogsitting!

Schedule
When I’m caring for your pet, I am on leave, and have very few commitments. I spend a lot of time outdoors, and adjust my routine to suit my clients needs. Being on leave makes it easy.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a lot of room at my home, no pets of my own, and my neighbors don’t have any either. I have a fenced dog run, but I seldom need to use it, but I know I am glad to have it, just in case.
A typical day
Normally, I start our day taking care of our morning business, followed by a walk around my property. We all have breakfast, and than I see what the weather is like, we may go to Stockade Lake, or another park, or we may explore my area, there’s plenty to do, and there’s nothing to do,… totally depends on what my client wants
