I like to know what the typical schedule is for your pet so I can try and keep things as normal as possible in their routine. I also like to keep the pet parents updated with texts, especially pictures, to keep them comfortable and knowing their animals are getting love and attention.

A typical day
Regular walks and playtime are a given. If your dog has extra energy and needs a longer walk, hike, or run, I would definitely be able to take them on an additional workout or to a dog park. Just let me know your usual routine or what your pet would like :)

Pet care experience
I have always had at least one dog growing up. I started watching dogs (walking during the day or while babysitting) at 10 years old, and house-sitting by 15 (overnight at the dog's house). My childhood dog started receiving daily to twice-daily insulin injections by the time he turned 12, so I am comfortable giving injections. I also have had to give dogs pills orally. My current dog, Wesley, is particularly finnicky about treats, so if he has to take a pill I had to wrap it in wet food and hand feed to him - if your dog is the same way, I am used to "prince"/"princess" dogs :) I have watched my friends' dogs in Denver and it's been great! I am open to having them at my house (preferable for sitting during the week since I have work) or at your place. My job allows me to routinely work from home depending on my schedule and I am located in Littleton (near Chatfield and Ken Caryl areas). When I’m working from home I’ll be able to let the pup out throughout the day, as well as provide love and attention. If I am going into the office, I am usually away no longer than 9 hours. I’ll be sure to walk, play, or do whatever to make up for my time away! I’m pretty laid back with dogs and don’t get really upset if there’s an accident in the house, as I know they can’t help it. However, if there are certain words or commands you use for certain behaviors, please let me know so I can be consistent with your house. The same goes for walking - I usually am firm and keep the dogs on one side and close to me. If you have a certain side you like your dog to be on or words to use while walking, just let me know and I'll incorporate! I will attempt to make your dog's stay as home-like as possible by keeping their schedule, saying certain words/commands, and giving them lots of love and attention! I'm a very flexible and easy going sitter. If I am in town and you need someone last minute, I'm open to that. Have a question? Feel free to reach out and ask!

Susan was a wonderful sitter for Clyde. I needed a sitter with less than 12 hours notice due to a family emergency and she was quick to respond. We were able to do a meet and greet shortly after I had reached out to her and was able to accommodate my pick up and drop off time. Clyde had a blast with her during his stay. Susan went above and beyond to give Clyde all of her love while we were away. She even took him to his favorite dog park and on a 5 mile hike, while sending me photos of him daily. I will definitely be using Susan in the future for all of Clyde's sleepovers!
Susan has watched my dog Lucy on and off for years and has been the best puppy sitter ever! She treats every dog as her own and has the biggest heart! She rescued her dog Wesley and he went from a sickly, scared pup to the happiest dog in the world by her side. Wes is very social and loves to have friends come and stay with him! She is also very conscious of how a dog is feeling and is vigilant about getting them care if they are sick. Your dog will be in great care in her hands!
Whenever we have to leave town, Susan is our first call to watch our little maltese poodle. She is so loving and responsible, we never have to worry that our dog is getting the best care. She goes above and beyond - trips to the dog park, lots of walks and cuddles, and one time she even gave our dog a bath! I would not hesitate to recommend Susan to any doggy parents looking for a great sitter.
Susan loves dogs and is a wonderful dog caregiver. She has always had a dog and has taken care of dogs belonging to friends and family her whole life. She has been in charge of dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments and she has great intuition with dog behavior. She knows the importance of giving dogs exercise, training, healthy food, clean water and playtime everyday. Susan is very patient, responsible and conscientious about providing proper and appropriate care for dogs. Her own dog was a rescue that was emaciated, flea ridden and traumatized by unknown causes. He is now is at a healthy weight, has a nice coat and is a very happy and lucky dog!
