Take the stress out of leaving your 4-legged family member behind and let me care for them! I started raising horses at 10 and have had dogs my entire life. I’m extremely active, retired, and completely flexible! Your furry family member's stay will be designed around your established schedule. Activities include: Walking East Ave, going to Ellison Dog Park, hiking Corbett's Glen, and just plain cuddling. I have no problem with disabilities, seizures and/or administration of meds.

Doggy Day Care • May 23, 2025

I try not to leave our dog ever, as she is 14 years old and I would like to spend as many moments as possible with her, but I wanted to spend a day with my husband visiting museums in a new city. So I decided to ask Susan to care for our dog. I wept when we drove away from Susan and my dog, but within a short time I received a text with a beautiful photo Susan took of our dog, seated happily on a large comfy bed with a peaceful, relaxed look on her face. I appreciated that text from Susan so much! As a result, I immediately relaxed and my husband and I enjoyed a wonderful day. Susan gave our dog loving care. She was prompt at drop-off and pick-up. We would definitely ask Susan to care for our dog again. Thank you, Susan. We loved meeting you! So did Callie! 💝

I feel completely at ease leaving my dog with Susan. She is warm and professional, very responsive and clearly loves dogs. My puppy came home tired and happy after his stay with Susan, where he played all day with his new canine friends!

Drop-In Visits • Jun 14, 2022

Although my kitty wasn’t open to any play time as I had hoped she would, Susan remained consistent and checked in to make sure she had her food & fresh water. Knowing Susan checked in on my kitty while I was away kept me from being worried. Great appreciated!

Susan was so willing to take care of my disabled.dog for a night and an afternoon. Susan communicated with me along the way and did everything she could to make my pup comfortable. Susan picked up and dropped off my pup on time and with a smile! Thank you!

Schedule

I typically spend the entire day with my furry visitors with the exception of errands from time to time but for no more than 2-3 hours.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in an apartment
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a very pet-friendly apartment building. I love to walk but have a closed-in area to let your pup off-lead and just plain have a ball. I never have more than two borders at a time and that's typically only for a couple of nights.

Pets

A typical day

I'm early to bed and early to rise. It typically takes 24/48 hours to get into a routine that your pup is comfortable with. We play, walk, and cuddle.

Please let me know of any behavioral issues, I'm not good with big, strong pullers, major barkers, and/or aggressive pups. Crate training is preferred and up-to-date vaccinations are required.
