Availability
While I do have a full-time job that requires me to go in office, I have flexible hours and can go in or leave early at my choosing. Additionally I have some flexibility with working from home so I can adjust my schedule to the right routine. However, please note that even with flexibility there are some days when I can range between 4-6 hours away. If your dog strictly cannot be alone for longer than 4 hours, I would not recommend having me as a sitter.

Please note my rate is a reflection of the fact that I don't own any pets and only board one client at a time so there will be no worry of conflict with other animals. My townhome has a lot of stairs so please consider this if you choose to leave your pet with me. I also generally do not allow animals into the bedrooms so if your pet has a requirement to sleep in the same room or bed, they may not be comfortable here. I can make exceptions to smaller and/or hypoallergenic animals. I do not have a car so exercise options will have to be limited to public transit or walking. While crating is a plus, it is not a requirement for me so long as the pet is comfortable sleeping on their own (again, see exceptions). I just need to be aware of any habits such as getting into food/plants/things on the floor or messing with furniture.

Information Susan J. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know any specific instructions your pet may have including any allergies, barking habits, things to note on walks (i.e. reactive to other dogs, tends to eat things on the ground, etc.), and behavior patterns like running away when trying to put on a leash. I am generally pretty accommodating but the more I know the better! I have experience with more sensitive dogs and can adjust to specific rules if needed. I have a loose rule of drop-off after 9:00 AM and pick-up before 7:00 PM. However I know travel plans may change so I'm flexible on this so long as you communicate with me.
A typical day
I am always exploring the neighborhood so taking dogs for walks is a no brainer! There are a few parks and my area is incredibly dog-friendly. On weekends I like to take longer walks to grab breakfast or coffee and sit outside if the weather is nice. Additionally, I love playing catch and giving treats! At home I will spend most of my time on the couch with your pet cuddling and giving belly rubs.

Pet care experience
I’m a professional working in tech with previous experience pet sitting for friends, neighbors, and family. I’m good at caring for pets for extended periods either at their home or brought to mine. I previously volunteered at the MSPCA shelter for dogs, cats, and bunnies. I have also owned bunnies and hamsters in the past so am well-versed in their needs. I work best with small to mid sized dogs; anything larger is harder for me to handle solo. In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, arts & crafts, basketball, cooking, and exploring the neighborhood & restaurants. I do not own any pets nor live with any other people so I can dedicate my full attention to your critters!

Very communicative lots of photos

Susan was awesome! She provided a lot of updates during the stay, with pictures and videos. Duda looked very happy and comfortable through the stay. Susan was also very accommodating for our pick up time needs. Highly recommend and would book again 😊

Susan was nothing short of fantastic!! She took the time to meet Luna and I prior to boarding and walked us through how she handles the dog while staying with her, asked the right questions, and really put me at ease immediately. Luna was very sad to leave her house after a weeks stay. Thanks, Susan!!

Susan was great. Very communicative and took great care of Jupiter. Would highly recommend anyone looking for a caring, easy going sitter. She made it feel so seamless it felt like Jupiter was going to a family members house for a sleepover.
