Hi, I’m Susan 👋 I’m a lifelong cat owner and a big animal lover, and I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone who genuinely cares for them and respects their routine. I live with my husband, Gary, in a spacious four-bedroom home in a leafy part of Cardiff with multiple parks just 30 seconds from my front door, making it a lovely environment for dogs staying with me. At the moment, we don't have any pets of our own. Because I work from home, I’m around most of the day and can give pets plenty of time, attention and companionship during boarding or drop it visits. Whether it’s walks in the park, playtime, or simply relaxing in a calm home environment, I aim to make pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I am fully licenced for home boarding for up to two dogs by Cardiff Council (licence number: DABO125). I have a clean DBS check and my own private insurance for peace of mind. Boarding in My Home I offer home boarding for dogs in a calm, comfortable environment. Dogs staying with me will have: 🐾 Plenty of walks in the nearby parks 🐾 Lots of company as I work from home 🐾 A relaxed home environment rather than a busy kennel setting 🐾 Time for play, enrichment and cuddles (if they enjoy them!) Drop-in visits I offer pet care in the comfort of their own home, and can flexibly attend your house to feed, water and provide companionship to your pets. Susan and Gary were fantastic with Nolan. They looked after him really well and kept us updated every day. They asked lots of questions to understand Nolan’s specific needs and kindly accommodated his separation anxiety. The weekend Nolan stayed with them was really hot and they were really careful with walking him early in the morning and keeping him cool. It looks like he had a really great time, including lots of cuddles. Thank you for taking care of our boy! 🐶🥰

Schedule
I work from home, which means I’m around for most of the day and can give pets plenty of time and attention. My schedule is very flexible, so I can easily plan my day around walks, feeding times and playtime.

Pets staying with me are cared for in a calm, comfortable home environment. I live in a spacious four-bedroom house in a quiet, leafy area of Cardiff with several parks very close by for regular walks. I have small, fenced patio gardens at both the front and back. I always follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, and any special instructions from owners. I only take a small number of pets at a time so I can give them plenty of attention and make sure they feel safe and relaxed. I’m attentive to behaviour and wellbeing, and I keep a close eye on things like appetite, mood and energy levels. I’m also happy to send regular photo updates so owners can see how their pet is doing. Above all, I want pets to feel at home here and for owners to feel confident that their pet is being well looked after.
A typical day
For dogs staying with me, I usually start the day with a morning walk in one of the nearby parks (there are several just 20 seconds from my house), followed by plenty of company during the day while I work. I like to make sure dogs get regular breaks, exercise and enrichment throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods. Evenings are usually relaxed, with another walk, dinner and time to unwind. I keep my routine calm and consistent so pets feel comfortable and settled while they’re staying with me.
