Work from home--large backyard
I have a fenced in, very large backyard where visiting dogs like to play and roam. I work at home & give lots of attention to visiting pups. My grown daughter splits her time between here with me and NYC. We both have loads of experience with caring for dogs. I've always much appreciated the company of dogs, having grown up with a household of dogs and a myriad of other animal creatures. Also in my whole adult life I've had dogs (and for many years I cared for my diabetic dog, administering special meds and coping with dietary restrictions, insulin shots etc). When needed, my friends and family have asked me to take care of their pets while they were away—I enjoy it. I hike a lot in the nearby woods and sometimes walk the dogs there or in the neighborhood. Or I keep them company in the garden. My college-age daughter likes to walk the dogs too. My sweet and playful 5-year-old Brittany adores company. We enjoy giving reports to owners and returning a calm and happy and healthy dog to them at the end of their visit.

Susan took very well care of my young energetic goldendoodle. She paid attention to every detail and spent time to introduce my dog to her house and to learn as much as she can about him. She constantly updated us with photos and summaries of how he was doing. Amazing experience!

Amazing sitter! We boarded our Brittany, Ipa with Susan and she was fantastic. She has an amazing yard that Ipa really enjoyed running around in. Susan has a Brittany as well so it was nice that Ipa had another playful companion. Susan was super communicative as well. We were gone for the whole weekend and she sent picture updates along with sharing some helpful insights on how he was doing. She took great care of him and we will be booking with her again in the very near future!
Scooter had a lovely weekend with Susan and her pup Coby romping in the backyard, chasing chipmunks, and playing fetch. Susan was so communicative and I really appreciate the thorough updates we got throughout the weekend. Her home is an easy, quick detour off the Palisades Parkway if you're going upstate for the weekend from the city, which is also nice. Scoot will absolutely be back!
Susan is a perfect host! Updates with photos and emails all throughout my doggie's stay. She's wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate to use her again for all my doggie needs. Thank you Susan for giving me peace of mind. Say hi to Coby!

Schedule
I work from home so I have plenty of time to give your pup company and attention. I board during the week and on weekends. I require meeting your dog at my house before making arrangements to board the dog while you are away. And we all have to make certain our dogs get along nicely.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in yard and a friendly social dog to keep yours company. I can easily crate your dog (or my dog) as needed. Again, I take only non-aggressive dogs.
Pets
A typical day
Walks on nearby trails in the woods where the dogs love the new smells. (I require all dogs to have good tick and flea protection and if they are in my house etc.) Also there is a very large backyard and a small barn and a fenced in garden and visiting dogs like to explore. Sometimes we walk on the side-walked streets from my house (no-traffic wide suburban). My playful dog will keep them company inside and out, if welcome. The visiting pup gets plenty of exercise. I normally take on board one visiting dog in at a time, but sometimes two if i know them well.
