Home with secure large garden and local walks
Since childhood I’ve always had a dog in my life, and have cared for friends and family members dogs over the years on many occasions. I’ve had experience of a range of dogs including a very lively labradoodle puppy, our own beautiful Labrador and crazy working Springer to my sisters small 17 year old cross breed.

Dexter's third stay with this gem of a family. When I dropped Dexter off this time, his tail wagged merrily on hearing Susan's doorbell and he went straight in and made himself at home in their lovely garden. He absolutely loves staying with Sue and Geoff who gave him so much attention from long daily walks to making sure he was walked near their house to avoid long journeys in the heat. Already booking the next stay and we only book holidays when we know this lovely couple can have Dexter. They are amazing.

We felt very comfortable leaving our young cocker spaniel, Nellie, with Sue for a week. We really liked the fact that she was part of their family for the week; she had plenty of cuddles and fun and got on fabulously with Sue’s springer spaniel Sophie. As a high energy breed, their lovely big garden and regular walks in the countryside were just what Nellie needed (along with evening cuddles). Sue sent daily updates and photos and it was very reassuring to see how happy Nellie looked; we had no worries. We would not hesitate to book Nellie in with Sue again and would highly recommend.
Susan was absolutely fantastic looking after our 2-year-old golden retriever, Maple. From the moment we dropped Maple off, we felt completely at ease knowing she was in such caring and capable hands. Susan treated Maple like part of the family, giving her plenty of love, attention, and playtime. It was clear when we picked Maple up that she had an amazing time—she was happy, relaxed, and clearly very fond of Susan. It’s such a relief to find someone who genuinely cares for your dog as if they were their own. We couldn’t be happier with the experience and will definitely be booking with Susan again. Highly recommended!
Sue and Geoff have been wonderful sitters for Bo, treating her as part of the family. They are kind and caring and Sue was very communicative from initial booking to sending me updates and photos during Bo’s stay. Bo enjoyed their lovely garden and got on well with their gorgeous spaniel, Sophie. Highly recommended.
Murphy really enjoyed his stay. Will definitely book with Susan again..

Schedule
My husband Geoff and I are both no longer working, and love being outdoors, so spend lots of our free time out walking or in the garden. We will both be actively involved in looking after any dog in our care. Our dog is very much part of the family, having lots of love and cuddles, as would any dog coming to stay with us.

We have a very large, secure garden with plenty of space for exploring and playing. Our dog has plenty of space to roam, both in the garden and indoors and several quite places for a nap when she is tired.
Pets
A typical day
Dogs will always have an early morning walk to a local field for a good run around and socialisation with other dogs if appropriate. The back door is always open for access to the garden with plenty of space for ball games. Where possible there will be another longer walk later in the day and time for fussing and cuddles in the evening.
