Information Susan H. would like to know about your pet

- Their Special Needs: Personality quirks, anxieties, health conditions or allergies, socialization with dogs and peoplei, potty habits, schedules, sleeping habits, behaviors under stress. Dog must be updated on vaccinations and flea medication; -Wear a collar with his/her name and pertinent identification information clearly marked; -Ideally be micro chipped; - Discuss things they like: favorite actitivies, foods, treats, toys. - I prefer smaller dogs under 25 pounds. I'm especially fond of terrriers but enjoy all types of dogs. Unfortunately, I am not able to care for dogs with extreme special needs such as diapering, serious allergies or potentially contagious conditions or severe separation anxiety (cry and bark continueously when left alone) or have other destructive behaviors.

Pet care experience

I'm dedicated to providing your dog with the security, care and attentioni he/she deserves while you're away. I live with my active 3year old West Highland Terrier Winston who is “very friendly, playful and enjoys other dogs. I am active and love the outdoors, so dogs see me as a wonderful companion. I am conveniently located for those who are flying. I offer a $20 discount for first time Rover clients and can also offer pick up and delivery service. I am home full-time to provide your dog with the care and attention he/she needs. We live in a quiet neighborhood in a single-family home with a LARGE, FENCED backyard, with gardens and trails perfect for dogs to explore. I'm Located close to Lincoln Park, the beach, the West Seattle Dog Park, and our neighborhood has well maintained sidewalks, so there are lots of walking opportunities. I'm a world traveler and I know what it is like to leave a pet for weeks at a time and what care I look for to insure my own pet's safety and comfort. I provide that same love and safety for your pet. Safety is foremost, and I've developed special guidelines in caring for my furry visitors. Some of these include asking you to provide special foods and treats, a favorite toy, and bed and/or crate so your pet has a familiar place to rest. I also supervise introductions and playtime between my dog and yours, provide separate feeding areas and leash-only dog walks. I'll ask about your dog's normal behaviors and reactions to stress, tolerance for other dogs, food allergies, and any other conditions that might require special attention. or make your dog feel more comfortable. I require that your dog is up to date on vaccinations, flea medications. Has a collar with his name and pertinent information clearly marked. I also charge puppy rates for dogs up to 18 months old. For years I have taken care of family, friends and neighbors' dogs. I treat the animals I care for like members of my family. Referrences are available upon request.

Susan’s home has become our dog Cookie’s home away from home. She loves playing with Winston in the backyard and gets lots of snuggles. She can’t wait for her next stay.

Susan was wonderful. Our dog loved his time at her house and with her cute Westy, Winston. We will be back!

Susan was great with my dogs first time visit with her. My dog, Ginger, is skittish with new people, and has a wild side. Ginger was comfortable with Susan within minutes.

Susan has a great backyard and environment for the dogs. So, so sweet with my dog who needs a lot of attention, positive reinforcement, and a gentle touch.
