I currently work freelance from home and I don't have any other obligations that aren't flexible. I have plenty of time to hang with your pets for as long as they/you need.

Safety, trust & environment
I offer drop ins for potty breaks and playtime, as well as dog walks. Walks would vary based on the pets needs, but I am fully willing to accommodate most requests while giving walks. I volunteer regularly at the shelter and have experience handling pets with high anxiety.
Information Susan G. would like to know about your pet
Beyond standard care instructions, I want to know what your pet does when they are excited and what they do when they need comfort. I want to make sure that I am looking out for and making the best possible experience while being the fill in human.
A typical day
I like to play and engage with animals on the level they are ready to be met with. I love taking the time to build the trust. I roughhouse with my own pup, but that’s a journey. Sometimes slow walks are a great place to start, but if fetch is the game….its on!

Pet care experience
I am the one at the party hanging out with the dog/cat instead of the people…probably because I grew up with lots of cats and dogs (foster and forever home). I volunteer at the shelter as a dog walker several days a week. Between the shelter animals and my pup, Isla (11 y/o), I am especially experienced with reactive/anxious or shy animals. I was raised with a large variety of animals around constantly, as my father was a vet who worked with both domestic and exotic species, so I learned a lot, including being very comfortable giving medications. I have also been raising my own dogs since middle school and have roughly 12 years of experience watching other people's animals.

Reviews

My cat loves her. Will always choose Susan if she’s available

Susan is great with my old lady cat!!! My cat loves her and Susan caters to all her quirks. 10/10 would recommend!

Susan was a great sitter for my two cats! Her updates were engaging and fun to read, giving information on the day’s play and eating events. The cats loved playing and cuddling with her during their visits. The cats and apartment looked great upon my return. Definitely recommend!

Suzi took great care of Cassie while I was away for a week. She adjusted our drop-in schedule as needed, and provided extra love and attention when Cassie was feeling anxious. Also provide me with great updates along the way. I highly recommend Suzi for any pet care you might need, she’s a pro!
