I own 2 acres, with the large, secure, shaded back yard complete with 6 foot privacy fence. Outside play with the family happens several times a day. I take videos and pictures and send updates every night. All of my doors are kept locked day and night. The front door has a secure dog fence around it in order to prevent escapes. Cabinets with any chemicals are secured. Dogs are kept with us in whatever rooms we are in, just being a part of the family. We love to spoil them.

Information Susan G. would like to know about your pet

Please answer the following before drop-off: Aggression issues with people, pets, or situations? I have children (12-16), visiting grandchildren (0 to 13) and small pets, and therefore can only take pets that are not prone to aggression. I refuse any pets that are in the top 10 aggression breeds. What is your pet's feeding schedule? Is it feeding at will? Or a set amount at certain times of the day? How does your pet typically spend the night? Can he go the whole night without pottying? Any medications or allergies? What else does he need in his daily schedule to be happy? What commands does your dog know? I love having practice sessions. Is your dog an escape artist? or digger? or climber? Are they up-to-date on flea and tick medication? Does your dog get anxious about thunder, fireworks, or any other thing? Please bring your pet's food, and bring his crate IF it is something he uses. Also bring anything that would make your pet feel at home, such as toys or treats. Thank you for helping me to make your pet at home in my home.

A typical day

I will follow your pet's schedule. Just communicate their typical day, and I will accommodate my actions to to their needs. Walks can be on lead around my large fenced perimeter or I can let them out regularly to run and play. If your pet enjoys playing fetch or practicing tricks, show me and I will have a daily practice time. Communication of needs is the key to the happiest stay. On a typical day here, we will have your dog amongst family members at all times. During school, they love to be next to one of our doting children. Then there is P.E. time where we actively play outside or inside for three separate 15 minute sessions: fetch, ball, frisbee, running, swinging, walking, leash training, you name it! Evening times often find the whole family with the pets in the living room either watching a movie or playing a game together. Bedtime is wherever your dog normally sleeps: in a crate, in the bed with us, or on a bed on the floor. It's your choice. Regardless of the time of day, your dog will be receiving attention of some sort.

1 Acre Fenced Yard - Home all day

Pet care experience

I specialize in accepting only one client's dogs at a time so that your pets get maximum attention. I will occassionally make exceptions if both pet parents agree AND I have kept both sets of pets at a previous time. I homeschool 3 girls who love to help spoil any and all pets. Being home all day, every day with rare exception gives your dogs the best possible vacation, as we will lavish attention on them all day long. Give me your pet's schedule and desires, and I will adhere to them, whether it be sleeping with me, hand feeding him, you name it! I'm looking forward to making another best fur friend! ATTN: I do not take any dogs in the top 10 aggression list, including mixes of those dogs. Thank you for your understanding.

Susan and her family did a wonderful job taking care of Lola, our French Bulldog. All of the things folks said about her were true. They kept me well updated with amazing photos and videos. I felt very peaceful that my pet child was in good hands;)

Susan and her family love Penny like she’s their dog. When we pulled into the driveway, Penny couldn’t wait to get out of the car to see them again. There is no greater review than your dog joyfully going to their boarder! Susan sends the best pictures and videos to recap the day. Susan has always communicated quickly. She is our go to boarder for our girl.

Susan was amazing, as usual! The amount of attention and care she and her family give Hazel is second to none. We never worry when we drop her off, and get daily updates. We already have our next stay booked 😊
