Peaceful Country Retreat for Dogs
I love having dogs around and work hard to make sure every pup is not only well cared for, but has a genuinely fun and enriching stay. My partner and I live on 30 acres, giving dogs plenty of room to explore. We also go on regular walks and hikes, which are a great way to burn off both physical and mental energy. Of course, not every dog wants an adventure. If you have a senior dog or one who prefers to take it easy, we’re just as happy to spend the day relaxing together with plenty of attention and snuggles. We have two friendly pet goats that are accustomed to being around dogs. That said, your dog’s comfort and safety always come first. If there’s any uncertainty about how either the dog or the goats might interact, the goats stay safely in their fenced pen while we have dog visitors.

Susan was great! My dog had a wonderful time at her place. It’s a quiet location in the woods, with two pet goats that Rennie got to hang out with and go on woods walks with. Susan was really flexible with my timing and communicated super quickly, both of which I totally appreciated. I’ll be glad to have my dog back to ‘summer camp’ there anytime!
Whenever I've had to leave town, I always feel a bit anxious worrying about my dog at home, even when I've left him with family members. But when I leave him with Susan, I feel completely relaxed the entire time I'm away knowing she's caring for him just as well as I would. Susan is awesome and clearly loves and connects with all animals. She's extremely responsible, prompt, and an excellent communicator. My pup always returns tired and happy after a stay with Susan and I would recommend her to any pet lover.

Schedule
I work remotely from home with a flexible schedule. I usually spend a few hours working in the morning, then I’m outside for much of the day working on projects, and spending time with our canine guests.
