I am sorry to write this review in such negative terms, but unfortunately we had a very bad experience. We booked Susan to care for our two small dogs while we were in London for a birthday party. When we arrived, we were immediately concerned because Susan appeared to have significant mobility difficulties and seemed physically very fragile. This was quite different from the impression we had from her profile and photos, and it made us seriously question whether she would be physically able to safely manage our dogs, including handling their leashes and responding quickly if something happened. Because of these concerns, we spent much of the birthday party worrying about our dogs instead of enjoying the event. In the end, we decided to give up the party and pick them up after only about three hours, even though we had originally arranged for approximately eight hours of care. When we returned, we found our dogs outside on the patio in the rain. We rang the doorbell for several minutes before Susan was able to come to the door. This experience made us even more uncomfortable with the situation. I am sorry to say this, but based on what we personally experienced, I cannot recommend leaving a pet in Susan’s care. My concern is not simply about appearance or age, but about whether she currently has the physical mobility necessary to safely supervise and handle animals. I truly wish we had understood the situation before making the booking, because we would have made different arrangements for our dogs.

Susan took amazing care of my dog, Alphie, for three days. She was very responsive and sent regular photo updates, which gave me great peace of mind. Alfie was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I really appreciated her kindness and professionalism, and I’d absolutely love to send Alfie to Susan again. Highly recommend. Thank you, Susan!“🐾

This was the second time we booked Mozzie’s holiday with Susan. Our anxious fur baby fit right in. I think he remembered Susan and the many walks he had with her. Susan is very calm and gentle and that is just the right attitude for Mozzie. I will book with Susan again.

Susan is a lovely women. I need to be honest with what I saw as pet care is my priority. I noticed 2 other dogs in her care when I arrived and when I left. They both had their leashes on in the home. They were not just arriving or just leaving. Leaving their leash on in the home is a restrictive mannerism I feel. Susan seems to struggle with mobility issues herself. I also noticed the water bowl was on her kitchen table as if their water was being restricted. So I quickly filled it and put it on the floor. Her home was extremely cluttered which made it challenging for me to put down my dogs 2 beds. My dog is 8 lbs. Lastly but perhaps most importantly is my dog was waiting at the door when I arrived and could not get out of there fast enough. Generally she just sleeps as she is very relaxed 14 year old dog that has been pet sat by various sitters thru her days. She is the most zen dog and requires very little care. That all being said she complained with her voice, breath and tremors all the way home and for hours to follow. Her poops where also strained, twisted and twirled up for 2 days afterwards telling me her nervous system was greatly affected. I would not return. I know Susan is a lovely person and cares for pets but it’s not a fit for our needs.

Mozzie is a very anxious dog. Susan’s calm and kind demeanour was just the right fit for our senior dog. He had a wonderful time and Susan kept us updated with lovely pictures of a relaxed Mozzie.

Roxie stayed with Susan again, and this time it was for several days. I was very worried about leaving my special needs dog for such long period of time, but Susan took great care of her and followed the care instructions, so I returned back to pick up a relaxed and happy doggie who seemed completely unbothered with my absence 😊 Will definitely return to Susan again if we need dog care away from home!!

Schedule

Presently I'm not working outside my home, so I build my schedule around the dogs' needs. I like to give each pet and dog I care for plenty of individual attention and lots of play time.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I am surrounded by green space and there are several parks just a short walk away. I can walk dogs several times a day, and give them potty breaks whenever they want or need them. They can also get cozy any time by snuggling up on the couch.

A typical day

I get dogs out for a walk the first activity in the morning. This is usually their longest walk, depending on the weather, Play activities include fetch, chase the ball or toy, or other games the dog enjoys.

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
No females in heat
Susan can host up to 2 pets per night
Please let me know if the dog has any special needs or any dietary restrictions. Also I like to know your dog's feeding and sleep times.
