I started working with dogs through volunteer positions with a service dog training facility and the humane society since Grade 12. Since then, I've been working in various animal care positions - I've worked in veterinary clinics for years and had the pleasure of working in an research facility while I was in university. I have 5 years of animal work experience under my belt, and have worked with lots of animals - especially dogs and cats! I am comfortable with feeding, administering medication, walking, and many different animal care needs for pets. Aside from my experience, I also have a Domestic Longhair named Jacqueline, who I love very much! I also have a budgie named Lucky, and have had budgies since I was 9 years old. I currently have a semi fixed work schedule at a veterinary emergency clinic, so I can accomodate animal care needs very well in between! I am free in the mornings before 7:30 am, and usually I'm free in the evenings after 6 or 7 pm. I also have days off during the week that allow for drop ins and walks! In my own home, my cat lives downstairs, allowing for the upstairs area to be free for other animals. I also have a large fenced in yard that is perfect for dogs. In my client's home, I find it depends on how the client wants me to look after the pet. Basic duties such as feeding and cleaning are fairly uniform throughout, but aside from that I like to work a schedule and routine out with each client to suit their needs and comfort level!
