Growing up, I have always had a dog in my life. Until the age of 11, I had a German Shepard so I am experienced with larger dogs. I got my own dog when I was 9 so I understand the responsibility of being a pet owner or handler. In highschool, I pet sat for my neighbor, who was a nurse who worked late shifts at the hospital. I did this for about six months before she moved away. I would feed her dog, take him on multiple walks throughout the day, and spend hours at her place sometimes until she got home and other times until her dog was calmed down enough to the point I felt comfortable leaving him alone. I am also a cat owner and understand how the care they need is different from dogs.
