I am currently only offering Drop Ins and house sitting unless it involves special circumstances with long time clients. Thank you for your understanding! I am not comfortable being on camera in your home so if you insist on that, I am not the right sitter for you. I used to allow it until I had an inappropriate experience with a client and that is a hard boundary going forward.
Information Summer T. would like to know about your pet
I am fully comfortable with special behavior needs and medical needs of your pets. Please let me know ahead of time and in detail any special accommodations you need made for your pet! I am also a former vet tech and shelter employee so if I am not comfortable with anything I will be upfront about it! Please do not lie about your pets behavior. I cannot prepare for something I am not aware of. When booking with me pls add the following information to your pets profile. Where applicable this will be discussed during the meet & greet or video call. Most Importantly: Who is your vet? Please provide name of clinic and phone number. What are any necessary supplies and where are they located? - Leash, collar, harness, litter box, cleaning supplies, food, treats, etc. Is your pet an escape artist? - If so how do the normally attempt to Houdini themselves out or your house, harness etc.. Does your pet have any unique behaviors that are normal behavior for them (e.g., funny noises they make) or specific tendencies I should know about? Is there anything specifically that causes anxiety for your pet? When your pet is anxious or experiencing separation anxiety, what helps soothe him? Does your dog resource guard dog toys, bones, beds, or other items? - If so how do you choose to address it If your dog is aggressive towards people or other animals what information would you like me to know to avoid these situations in their surroundings? (Example: The neighbor in the blue house has a dog in the front yard so avoid going past that house during walks because fluffy will try to pull you to the fence.. etc) In what situations is your dog allowed to have treats, chews or toys? - If so, what types of treats do they prefer? Is your pet socialized to ride in a car in case of an emergency? - Is there a cat carrier I can use to transport your cat if necessary? - How is your dog during car rides? Does your animal have any special dietary restrictions or allergies? - If so please provided a list of those things Does your pet take medication? If so, what’s their medication schedule? Does your pet have any medical issues that I need to be made aware of? What is your dog’s usual bathroom routine? And how do they let you know when they need to go? Please feel free to add any additional information that is applicable to the service and your pets needs to their profile.
A typical day
Without explicit instruction I would never transport any animal to a new location. The transportation of cats should only be in the case of an emergency so please don’t forget to add your pets vet to their profile. In case of emergency if I am unable to reach a pet parent the pet will be taken to the nearest Animal Emergency Center.

Pet care experience
Over a decade of experience and excellent care. I am a former Vet Tech and animal adoption specialist at a local shelter. I am Fear Free certified, Dog & Cat First Aid certified and have experience with everything from cattle and turtles to large breed dogs with special behavioral needs. I have a Bachelors in Agriculture Extension where I primarily studied animal sciences. I have pet sit for dozens of individuals over the years and have loved being able to fall in love with so many wonderful animals. I am extremely passionate about giving pets the love they deserve and can’t wait to learn more about your fur baby! I know your fur baby has unique needs just like mine do. I am dedicated to making sure your pets mental health is just as taken care of as their physical needs. Does your cat prefer to be left alone, awesome! Does your dog love to play? Cool! We can have lots of fun playing together! While working both as a vet tech and animal shelter employee I worked with animals of varying needs and became highly skilled at reading their body language to make sure they are comfortable at all times! Please see the Sections below for information I would need to make sure your pet has the best possible care.
Reviews

This is the first time I ever used the service of ROVER.com. I was very pleased with ease of use of the website. Summer T. is a gem!! A plesant young lady who is knowledgeable of dog companionship and care. I had Summer for a a dog/house sitter for three days. She took wonderful care of our 2 year old beagle mix !! She was respectful of our property and kept in contact with me with text messages and pictures. A+ in my book! Will ask her to stay again if/when needed.

We're so fortunate to have Summer take care of our pets. She allows us to feel comfortable while we're away! Thank you Summer!

Our pups give Summer 5 stars! She is on-time, communicative and a delight to work with. ~Thank you Summer!

Summer is outstanding. From her initial visit to her sending us photos while she was here. Her care allowed us to thoroughly enjoy ourselves while we were away.
