In my home or a client’s home, I make sure the space is secure, free of hazards, and suited to the pet’s needs—whether that means creating cozy resting areas, keeping food and toys organized, or supervising playtime. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medication, and special routines, to give pets consistency and reassurance. I also communicate regularly with owners, providing updates and photos so they can feel confident that their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for.

Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. I’m very organized and can dedicate consistent time for walks, feeding, play, and check-ins. Whether it’s a quick mid-day visit, a longer afternoon walk, or overnight care, I can adjust my schedule to meet the needs of each pet and ensure they get attention and exercise at the right times. I prioritize reliability, so pet owners can trust that their pets will always be cared for on schedule. I take class Monday through Thursday in the mornings so I’m available in the afternoons, evenings, and overnight.

- Before caring for a pet, I like to learn as much as possible to make sure I provide the best care. It’s important for me to know their daily routine (feeding schedule, walk times, bedtime habits), dietary needs, and any allergies or medical conditions. I also ask about medications, behavioral quirks, fears (like thunderstorms or other dogs), and how they typically respond to new people. I like to understand their personality and energy level so I can tailor activities appropriately. For example, are they high-energy and love long walks, or more relaxed and prefer short strolls and cuddles? I also ask about any training commands they know, house rules (furniture, crates, etc.), and emergency contact information, including their vet. The more I know ahead of time, the smoother and more comfortable the experience is for both the pet and their owner.
