Pet care experience
Hello, I am a first-year veterinary student at OVC! I have experience walking and caring for high-energy and reactive dogs at the humane society and have worked in a variety of large and small animal veterinary clinics. I believe wholeheartedly in positive, fear-free handling of all animals and as a vet student my continuing education in animal care, behavior, and health aids in improving my handling skills. I have worked with a wide variety of animals including reptiles, rabbits, cats, senior and juvenile dogs, and horses. I am CPR-certified for both cats and dogs and can administer both oral and injectable medications as required.

A typical day
I understand each pet's energy levels and personality differ so would love to find the right activities to fit the health and desire of each pet/client. From a calm slow walk with lots of stops for the pet to investigate different smells, to a more high-energy play session including fetch in the yard or a run. I think it's important to understand the pet and client's needs to maintain a safe and engaging session.

Availability
I am currently a full-time student and would be available evenings and weekends with week day availability depending on class schedule. I will also be staying in the area for the summer semester.
