I am currently a full time Counseling Graduate student and stay home completing coursework most days. In the evening my 10 year old daughter is home and helps with the animals. I do have a newborn, 4 months old. I only accept gentle animals that can be safe with children. I am very attentive and maintain contact with my baby at all times, or she is in her nursery.

Information Summer D. would like to know about your pet
Please inform me of any unpredictable behavior, separation anxiety, medical conditions, allergies, or the need to avoid other animals during walks. Additionally, let me know if your dog should avoid the pool or extreme weather conditions.
A typical day
I enjoy playing zoomies and fetch with dogs, going on outdoor jogs and walks, and engaging in lively conversations with them. I also love beach walks. When it comes to cats, I give plenty of cuddles and play hide and seek with them, especially when they are full of energy and seeking social interaction. If they take time to warm up, I come up with strategies to make them feel safe and come out at their own pace and comfort level. I have boarded cats anywhere from 2 days to 4 months at one time.

Pet care experience
I have been a Rover sitter, boarder, and walker for 5 years now. I have grown up on ranches and farms with lots of puppies & kitties. I have been a foster for animal shelters, rehabilitating pets with cancer, post surgery, elderly, and sick. I have experience with IVDD (French bulldogs), kidney cancer for cats, feline neurological conditions, peridontalitis, and FIV for cats. My husband often tag teams with rover requests and dog sitting. You can review his info on here if you want to know more. His name is Alex Pockrus. I have also done energywork and massage on animals for therapeutic relief. Working with animals is a big part of my daily life, and it’s my happy place.

My dogs are so happy with Summer & her husband! We are very fortunate that they are willing to watch them :) Highly recommend!

Finn loves Summer & her family :)

Summer and Alex took care of our eight year-old golden for 10 days. They were extremely responsive and thoughtful and send us pictures every day. We felt comfortable that she was in good hands. We will think of them when we plan our next trip.

So good with my dogs :) We feel safe going out overnight knowing Summer will take care of them. Highly recommend!
