The first dog I cared for was a Portuguese water dog. She was so smart and taught me what she needed. Then she got a little brother, a puppy German Shepard! Our days were then spent training him to be as good as his older sister. I have also potty trained, taught basic commands like sit, lay down, up, leave it to two of my own dogs. I am very active and spend a lot of time walking/running. I have found that bringing them along on a long walk or run helps calm down high energy dogs.
