As a lifelong animal lover, I've had the privilege of growing up with a variety of pets, including rabbits, hamsters, cats, tortoises, birds, and dogs. Each one has shaped me into the caring and compassionate person I am today.
I’ve been raising dogs since I was 18, and three of my beloved dogs were by my side through major milestones like my graduation, wedding, my first job, and my move from Hong Kong to the UK. They were never just pets; they were family. Unfortunately, last year has been incredibly tough, as I lost Coffee, my 16.5-year-old dog, and Bean, my 10-year-old, to illness. My home felt empty, my heart was broken.
One day, a stray cat came to my house, he had ticks and diarrhea. He needed me. He reminded me of the love and care my pets had taught me to give. This cat now has a forever home with me. Though I may not feel ready to be a dog mom again, I’ve found my calling in helping others care for their pets.
