Safety, trust & environment

At the time, my own dog, Rosie, would not welcome clients into the home as she is territorial and food aggressive. I am comfortable going into clients' homes and am able to stay overnight with your pets.

Information Sue Ellen K. would like to know about your pet

I would like information regarding any food or physical restrictions, and/or any special collar/harness needs. I would rather not watch/walk an aggressive dog who bites, however will discuss any dog's temperament, and would require a meet and greet with the dog owner, dog,, and myself prior to taking the job. I need both parties to feel comfortable.

A typical day

I will honor all client requests and suggestions regarding their dogs' walks and activities. I am willing to continue learning about new mental and physical enrichment ideas that fits their dogs' needs. I am open to neighborhood walks, and safely traveling to dog parks or nearby trails to hike for exercise. I also have a doggy pool that I can set up during hot summer days. I am not a trainer, but am willing to work on basic walking skills and commands.

Pet care experience

I have a beagle/basset named Rosie, who keeps me on the move. Prior to Rosie, I was blessed to have Phoebe (beagle mix) and Lucy (Shephard/Rottweiler mix). I have cared for dogs of all sizes and ages, from chihuahuas to Bernese Mountain dogs, and senior dogs with all levels of health conditions. I was a volunteer dog walker for a local rescue and spent most of my time with the larger dogs, which I thoroughly enjoy, and am physically able to handle most breeds. I am also a certified veterinary assistant and have extensive experience caring for farm animals such as horses, donkeys, pigs, and goats.

Sue Ellen always does a wonderful job when she takes care of my two dogs. I have no stress about having to leave them behind when she cares for them. She pays attention to details, and is overall great to work with!
