Rescue/Foster Volunteer

Previous experience of 35 years, I am a valued member of Lake Haven Rescue in Newago, MI. I have cared for Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Lizards and Crested Geckos. In 2015, I cared for Pot-cake puppies flown in from the Bahamas, through the :Pilots for Paws Programs. With-in a few days after that, I was asked to care for a Juvenile cat (a Calico)., I cared for this young Cat and continue to do so, as she now lives with me (of course). I also have a rescue dog of my own from Ohio. During the week end of March 3-5, I will be caring for some puppies that will be flown in from Ohio. I have also helped a friend care for Cats, through the Focus on Ferals cat rescue...... It is my passion to work with animals and I cant wait to meet yours:)

Sue has been fantastic with our pitty girl, Maya since 2018 and has been great with our new pitty boy, Duncan since we got him in January. Highly recommended!

Thank you for taking such good care of Ritz and our home! It was so reassuring to know you were here loving on our kitty and also checking things in our house. We appreciated all the thorough updates and time you took to make sure everything was perfect. We would definitely book again!!

Sue was so so so SO wonderful! We had a bad experience with a prior Rover after our old one moved who never gave us updates; I mentioned this to Sue during the meet & greet and she went above and beyond - sending updates, pictures and letting us know how the animals were everytime she stopped by. It was so comforting to know that her and her son were spending extra time with our (extremely) anxious dog and giving him all of the love and cuddles we couldn’t. She helped with our cats as well and I no doubt feel relief knowing that we have a new pet sitter that loves on our animals as much as we do. I absolutely recommend Sue to take care of your animals!!!

Sue is very conscientious and passionate about serving the needs of our older maltepom. She gave regular updates while we were gone. We felt very secure that Bella was being well cared for. Thanks Sue!!! See you again in September!!!

Sue was an amazing care giver to our two senior cats! We were very worried about leaving them alone for nine days, especially since one of our cats has a chronic condition and needs extra care and daily medication. But Sue provided our special needs cat with all he required, and more. She gave him his medication at the same time every day and spent extra time showering him with attention and care. Knowing Sue was at our home every day, providing as much love and care and attention to our cats as we would ourselves, put my mind completely at ease and allowed me to enjoy my time away. I will definitely have Sue care for our cats again and highly recommend her to anyone else seeking a highly qualified and caring person to watch over their pets.

Our first time leaving our dog, Jack, with someone other than family. He loved Sue and we were so pleased with her outstanding care of him. Communication was great and our home and buddy were in great hands.

I have no breed preferences and have never met an animal who did not accept me:) Don't forget I can provide references!! Happy to meet and greet, as many times that is needed, for the animal to feel comfortable.
