I am a Michigan transplant and an animal person with years of experience, including as petsitter, aquarist, veterinarian technician, field scientist, and farmer. I’ve worked with all creatures great and small, and am uniquely qualified to take care of your fish tank, farm animals, and exotic pets. I am also an avid organic gardener and I love to grow my own food. I own a quaint cottage home with a fully fenced yard. All animals are allowed on the furniture so that they can indulge in the comfort they deserve. I love taking quirky puppy pics in beautiful places while on hikes and adventures. Playing is a great way to establish trust and blow off steam, and I try to capture that on camera as much as possible. I am an outdoor enthusiasts, and when I lived out West I regularly offered "adventure" packages for dogs who benefitted from extended hikes. My own dog Velma is famous on the lake for being my paddleboard companion! I would love the opportunity to work with elderly or disabled animals, and am competent administering medications. As usual… Willett is spoiled rotten with Stevie, Josh, and the gang. He gets excited when he knows we are close to their house and is sad when he leaves. Could not recommend them more for small sweet creatures.

Stevie is wonderful with Hero and truly goes above and beyond. She spends time with him, is incredibly loving and even cleans and dries him after snowy walks. Hero adores her, and I have complete peace of mind knowing he’s in such caring hands. Highly recommend!

Schedule
Animal - and seasonally, garden - services are my fulltime occupation, so the care of your furry family member is my top priority. Because I work for myself, I am able to adjust my schedule as needed to accommodate my clients' needs.

When staying at a client's home, my practice is to leave it cleaner than when I arrived. I value my clients' trust as one of my greatest assets, and can ensure that your home and property will be respected at all times.

A typical day
Activities are tailored to the needs and energy level of each particular animal. Many of my "golden" clients are most happy to have someone to snuggle on the couch with. For more active dogs, I like to get creative! I love taking quirky puppy pics in beautiful places while on walks and adventures. I am an outdoor enthusiasts, and when I lived out West I regularly offered "adventure" packages for dogs who benefitted from extended hikes. My own dog Velma is famous on the lake for being my paddleboard companion. Locally I take advantage of the many trail systems and parks in Oakland County. When booking, I confirm with pet parents what kind of destinations and modes of transport they are comfortable with.
