Peace of Mind Pet Sitting
I've had dogs, big and small, since I was a child. My whole family takes an active role in playing with and caring for our dog, Buddy. Your dog(s) will be no exception! During some of our past family travels, and prior to learning of Rover, we had to board our puppy at big-box locations. It was never a positive experience. The stress on our dog was significant. Even in using different big-box locations there were several concerns. Things such as play areas that were overgrown, neglected or underutilized; crates were small; unattended dogs that would do nothing but hump ours (no joke!); and common area rooms that were concrete and crowded. Most significantly, the staff seemed to be more engaged with their phones than caring for the dogs. Thankfully we found Rover and a sitter who cared for our dog as if it were her own. This is what we desire to do, giving pet owners the same peace of mind we found.

I had such a great experience with Steven and his family! From the very beginning, they were warm, welcoming, and professional, which immediately put me at ease about leaving my dog in their care. My pup felt comfortable with them right away, and I could tell how much they truly love and understand animals. They provided excellent overnight care, kept me updated, and made sure my dog was happy, safe, and well cared for. I came home to a relaxed and content pup, which says it all! I highly recommend Steven to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. I’ll definitely be using them again in the future.
Steven and his family treated our dog Lily like part of the family. I received daily updates on her and he even took her to Starbucks and got her a pup cup! When she came home she didn't need time to adjust like when you kennel your dog. She was herself but still glad to be home. I will use this family whenever need to travel!!!!!!

Schedule
During the school year, my wife and I both work away from home. The house is human free from 8am-3pm, although my wife does come home for an hour during her lunch hour. That being said, dog(s) get taken for a walk to start each morning. At 3pm we all arrive home, including my three children (ages 10, 11, 13). Then dog(s) get walked, played with and entertained until bedtime.

We have an almost 3-year old puppy named Buddy. He is a mixed King Cavalier and Shitsu. He is the most gentle and sweet dog. He's a bit of an introvert, so though he will interact with your dog(s), he will definitely not be in their face all the time. He likes his own space and will easily share visiting pups their own space as well.
Pets
A typical day
We have three kids, and friends, always in the house so your dog will never be alone. We take our pup for at least 2-3 walks a day, and let him lounge out in the sun and shade for however long he likes. We also like to hike nearby trails and would be more than willing to bring your pup along with us.
