Safety, trust & environment

I love being around my dogs along with other peoples dogs as well and would give them the same care I do for my own just as I do with my fosters.

Information Steven S. would like to know about your pet

I’m use to being around crazy large breed dogs and comfortable with all breeds. Any information on your pup like reactivity or bad habits with chewing or eating things they’re not suppose or allergies would be helpful information for me to better care for your dog.

A typical day

Well go for a nice walk, try and find a place to play some fetch especially with high energy pups. any treats clients would like me to use I could do some basic commands with positive reinforcement to work their minds and do what I can to use up that extra energy. Any feeding your pets may need and of course to make sure they get to go to the bathroom.

Pet care experience

Hi my names Steve, I had dogs for over 9 years now. I have a German shepherd named Tuukka, a Belgian Malinois named Raskal and a German/Belgian mix named Sway. I’m experienced with different breeds of all sizes and personalities. I know how to properly work with high energy pups that like to pull and bounce around. I also help with Rescue from San Diego fostering dogs that they transport to Boston. I’ve taking multiple training courses from basic obedience to advance obedience and a canine neurobiology course as well. Not only looking to help people out with their walking needs but training as well.

This was my first time using the Rover app, and I found Steven’s profile because he lives close to my house. We were going to travel and needed someone to walk Tango and Chico around the same time they normally go out. I shared all the information with Steven, and he accepted right away. We even met before the trip so he could get to know Tango and Chico. We walked together, I showed him their usual route, and everything was set. Steven was always punctual and would let me know when he was arriving so I could turn off the alarm. After each walk, I received the Rover card showing the route, duration, and miles walked — and of course, pictures too. I highly recommend him, and I’ll definitely hire him again whenever I need. Thank you so much, Steven!
