Steven can care for
Availability
I’m a freelance photographer with a relatively flexible schedule. For prospective HOUSE-SITTING clients only: I have weekly regulars I take care of Monday-Friday from 10 am to about 4 pm (this is the general time-range that a majority of my repeat bookings take place). I can also have irregular appointments that take place after 5 pm as well as on the weekends. **IF I CAN'T TAKE CARE OF MY REGULARS THEN I CAN'T ACCEPT YOUR HOUSE-SITTING REQUEST.** In general this would usually mean any pet that requires strict "around the clock", 24/7 supervision (i.e. puppies). If you have any questions regarding this specifically or anything at all please don't hesitate to ask and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Safety, trust & environment
A home is a sacred space - not merely just a piece of property - so I fully appreciate the due seriousness necessary for someone to entrust me to not only care for their pet(s) but also their home (which is also the pet's home!) and their belongings. Your pet(s), your home, your belongings will always be treated with the same care, respect, and attention that I would want as if they were my own.
Information Steven N. would like to know about your pet
*Please be as detailed as possible in your care instructions (there is no such thing as TOO much information) as I will be following them to an absolute tee.* Please let me know if your pet has any special needs such as dietary restrictions, oral medications and - with dogs in particular - social habits when meeting other dogs on the street, your policy regarding treats, etc.
A typical day
My primary aim first and foremost is to stick to the routines, activities, walking routes, etc., that your pet(s) is already comfortable with and used to (especially for dogs). In terms of keeping pet parents posted on their pet(s) I will always, at minimum, send an ETA update when on my way to an appointment and a “post-visit report” update afterwards (basically a detailed summary of how the drop-in/walk went). Pet parents are, of course, welcome to fine tune how often they want to be updated as well as what specifically [about their pets during my visit] that they want updates on.

Pet care experience
I’ve had a dog most of my life and currently live with a cat. My best friends have a poodle (named Noodle!, see profile pic) who I always look forward to watching when they’re out of town. Nothing can quite put a smile on my face as seeing a pet be happy and enthusiastically taken cared of.
Reviews

Steven is great! Very responsive and makes our nervous dog feel very comfortable around him!

Steven came in at the last minute and was truly a life-saver. Communicative, extremely flexible, kind, and patient, we were comfortable leaving a 4-month old puppy home alone for the first time with him at the wheels. Thanks again, Steven!

Steven is truly the absolute best! So kind, so professional, and such a great communicator. I always feel fully at ease when he’s walking/watching Banksy :)

This was truly a 10/10 experience. Communication was great both before and during my trip, which gave me so much peace of mind. He took the time to meet up with us beforehand and even joined us on a walk to understand my dog’s quirks and routine, which meant a lot. While I was away, he sent daily updates and photos, asked thoughtful questions when needed, and struck the perfect balance of keeping me informed while still letting me enjoy my vacation. I genuinely felt like my pets were in the best hands. For context, my dog is on the larger and stubborn side, and he handled her confidently and comfortably. He also stayed in my apartment, and I came home to it exactly as I left it. I would absolutely trust him again and highly recommend him.
