We are retired from the Postal Service and able to take care of your pets at all times. We are both vaccinated. We currently have no pets but have taken care of Chows, Pitbulls, Labs, Cats, Hamsters, Gerbils, Tropical fish and Parakeets. You usually get two for one with us so there is often an extra set of hands (or legs). We would like extended house sits but can do short ones as well. Non smoking households only. We both have transportation and can do drop-ins for two houses on the same day. I was a mailman & have 36 yrs experience dealing with dogs along with pets from my youth on. My wife does injections and oral medication along with eye & ear drops. She has had pets her entire life and would love to take care of yours. We have been homeowners for over 40 years. We are able to handle almost any emergency that could pop up. We offer daytime care in your home thru the Housesitting tab on Rover (3 hours to 12 hours) even if you do not need overnight. You can also book Drop-ins of 30 minutes to 3 hours although after a few hours (or multiple visits in a day) it is more cost effective to book Housesitting, indicating your start and ending time. We will generally send updates with photos once a day, but if you would like more or less, just let us know. We are located in Saint Clair Shores and prefer sits within a 30 minute travel window. Extra travel time, for each additional 30 minutes, will have an additional charge of $10 for each day. After our initial meet & greet, it is standard to do cold swaps versus hot swaps. We arrive after you leave, and depart before you return. This usually means smoother transitions for your pet(s), and for the owners/sitters. If you need a sit start time before 8am, or end time after 8pm, there is an additional charge of $20 that will be added on. Your home becomes our home base. We bring our groceries/games/books. We will spend quality time with your pets. There are times we will leave to take care of our home, run errands or dine out. This time away will never be longer then whatever time you tell us they can be left alone. We are detail oriented, organized and true to our commitments. We communicate as much as you need and respond quickly. We are both non-smokers and are not comfortable with households that smoke/vape in the house. Linda has allergies. We also request you unplug any plug in air fresheners while we are there. We are not comfortable with indoor cameras in areas we will be residing in. Please notify us if their are any cameras. Let us know of anything we can/cannot use, especially in the kitchen.
