I am an author, I work from my laptop at my own pace when the mood takes me. I have no commitments or deadlines so I can give your pet plenty of loving care and attention. I love playing with pets, and going out for dog walks. I grew up with cats, dogs and horses. Animals have always been a big part of my daily routine.

When pet sitting I stick to the owners rules and routine so the pets feel as little disruption as possible. I'm very happy to have your pets sleeping on the bed with me if that's what they're used to, and if you don't permit them on the sofa etc. then those exact same rules apply while you're away.
Information Steven H. would like to know about your pet
The most important thing to know is your feeding schedule. How much food, how often and when to give treats etc. If your pet has any special needs or quirks please let me know, some dogs try to chase motorbikes etc. It's far better for me if I know what to expect in advance.
A typical day
I always check with the owner so that I can keep my schedule as close to yours as possible. If you take the dog for 2 one hour walks a day then that's what I will do too. Usually I provide a lot more stimulation than an owner can as I'm there for more time during the day.

Pet care experience
I have done professional pet sitting for cats and dogs several times over the past 30 years. From short sits, spanning just a few days to 6 months sits on a couple of occasions. I was living overseas for 8 years and returned to the UK in Jan of 2023, since then I have completed 40+ sits on other pet sitting sites and have 100% 5 star reviews with excellent feedback from pet owners. I am very often requested back to sit again as cats and dogs bond with me very quickly. I am an author and motivational speaker, so much of my time is spent writing, and practicing my talks. When I'm pet sitting I usually end up with an audience of cats and dogs watching me inquisitively as I practise my speech to them. They obviously enjoy the attention. I do energy healing (similar to reiki), and while pet sitting, cats (even very antisocial ones) usually settle on my lap purring as I work with their energies during relaxing meditation. I prefer longer sits, please do not request me for sits that are shorter than 3 days. Thank you. Steven
