We’ve had Steven watch our dogs a couple of times now, and he’s been fantastic. The first time, when my wife and I were out of town for 2 days, he followed our care instructions to the letter, took them out regularly, checked in often, and sent us photo updates so we felt completely at ease. The second time was just a day sit, but even though we only booked him for a quick visit, Steven stayed longer to keep our dogs company. He sent us plenty of pictures again — including some funny ones — and it’s clear he really enjoys spending time with them. The biggest win for us is that our not-so-friendly dog has warmed up to him. We’re happy with Steven’s help and are looking forward to asking him to watch our pups more regularly. Highly recommended!

Steven is an absolute gem, one of the sweetest and most genuine people I've had the pleasure of knowing. For the past month, he's been taking care of Bella on a weekly/ daily basis, our beloved furry family member. I initially scheduled 30-minute walks, but Steven's love for animals shines through as he often extends these walks because he sincerely cares about their well-being and enjoys their company. What truly sets Steven apart is his flexibility and accommodation. He's been incredibly understanding with last-minute bookings, making our lives so much easier. But it doesn't stop there; he consistently goes above and beyond for Bella's needs. Not only does he ensure she gets her exercise and fresh air, but he's also taken care of additional chores, like taking out the trash and even washing dishes! It's evident that Steven isn't just a dog walker; he's a compassionate and thoughtful individual who genuinely cares about making our lives better. I can't recommend him highly enough. If you're looking for someone who treats your pet like family and provides incredible service, Steven is the one to call. Bella and I are lucky to have him!

Steven was great! We were nervous about leaving our senior dog at home but Steven sent plenty updates and pictures through the weekend.

My husband and I had the worst dogsitting/housesitting experience of our lives with Steven. I am writing this review as I hope no pet-owner ever has the same terrifying experience that we did. He agreed to housesit/dogsit for us from a Friday at noon to Sunday at 8pm. We have two dogs and he had met them twice before during "meet and greets." One of them in particular has very high anxiety when left alone and can potentially start chewing through furniture and cords when we leave her. (We give her anti-anxiety medication when we leave her for a few hours.) We made clear to Steven that the dogs are not to be left alone and we paid him a great deal of money for this service. He verbalized understanding and agreed. He even told us that he had a dog-walking scheduled for the next day which he would cancel. One and a half hours after we left, I noticed on our surveillance camera that his car was gone from our driveway. I texted him and called him. He became very cagey with me and responded via text "on the other line with a client." I asked for photos and videos of the dogs. He ignored me. I ultimately asked if he had left, as I did not see his car on the surveillance camera. I called Steven. I asked him if he had left our house unlocked (I had never given him keys.) He stated that he had. I pointed out that any stranger could walk in and rob us blind. He became very upset on the call and told me that he wasn't doing well. He ended the call. From there on out, he ignored my calls and texts. This is when I called Rover and when we turned around and drove 2.5 hours home. We were worried SICK about our pets and our home, envisioning the worst. We arrived home. The house was a MESS. There was food all over the counter. The TV was blasting. My dogs were upset, anxious, confused, and panting. Neither one had a drop of water in the bowl and it was a 95 degree day. No pet owner or home owner should have to deal with this. My husband and I are astounded and our vacation plans are ruined. He got caught because we have surveillance. Do not use this dog-sitter. I will continue to advocate for his removal from Rover.

Steven is an absolute heaven sent! He cared for my home and senior dog as if they were his own. He was communicative and professional the entire way through his 5 night stay and we are so happy to have found him! We returned to a happy well-cared for dog and a spotless home. Thanks Steven!

Steven was amazing! He kept in touch with us daily, and cared for our dog and cat as if they were his own. He sent updates, videos, and pictures. He was engaging with our pets and I swear my dog missed him when he left after we returned home! Steven was also neat and clean and respectful of our home. I will not hesitate to use him for pet and house sitting again.
