If the pet is special needs, elderly, or disabled, or on medication, or has difficulty with new strangers, I guess its good to know in advance, but not really necessary. I like to visit in advance and meet the pet, check our chemistry. Typically the client is happy to give me all the instruction at the time of meeting, often including a written page of details.
A typical day
Many dogs like to chill around the house or the backyard. I enjoy keeping them company for exploration adventures in the neighborhood, and if its appropriate for the owner I can bring the pet to a park or hiking trail. If the leash is a long retractable one, I can enjoy running with the dog.

Pet care experience
I love my experiences with my canine friends, and felines too. I have been the primary care person for numerous furry friends though my life although not currently. I have enjoyed numerous pet sitting jobs, including for elderly and crippled dogs, here in the Verde Valley and have a pet-friendly vehicle for potential nature hikes.

We don't leave Elmo often and are nervous when we do because of his separation anxiety. Having said that Seven came in and treated him to some great hikes and companionship. He was happy to see us but comfortably so and a happy dog overall. Our plants were well cared for also and our home looked immaculate when we got home. We would happily recommend Seven to care for your home and pets and will gladly request his help again in the future.
Steven did a great job for us. We appreciated his interaction with our dogs and how he fit into our schedule.
Steven has come to our home to care for our three pets -- one of them a senior dog that was blind and had a history of seizures. We found him to be kind, caring, and conscientious. No worries about our home or our dogs when Steven was there!
Steven is a kind, thoughtful, gentle and smart person. He also really enjoys being around pets and is a good caretaker! I have known Steven for 5 years and have sent many of my own petsitting clients to him when I was unavailable. They were very appreciative of his caring and helpful work with their pets. He has an online computer IT and webiste business so he can be in the home much of the time. He also is a good handyman--always helpful if something happens with the house! 5 Star Recommendation for Steven!! :o)
