My day job is remote so I’m fairly flexible during daytime hours! I tend to have rehearsals in the evenings a few days a week, but typically am able to look after friends’ pets any time they’re out of town.

I live in a second-floor apartment so I usually prefer to take care of pets in their space, for their own familiarity and comfort. That said, smaller dogs have stayed at my place and it’s always gone well.

I love being outside, so if your dog is up for a walk (whether a short stroll or a long walk around the neighborhood), we’ll have a great time. I’m also a big fan of playing catch.

Proud uncle to dogs on both coasts. The yellow Labrador my parents got me for Christmas when I was five years old remains easily the best present I’ve ever been given. Have been a cat and dog sitter since I was a teenager. Plenty of experience helping older pets take their meds. Love taking long walks with dogs.

Steve is a top-notch dog sitter! Not only will he make sure your furbaby is fed, walked, treated, and cuddled, but he will even make emergency lunch stops or evening check-ups if your day gets out of hand. He's watched over our little pup for several overnight stays, and the daily log and photos are both creative and reassuring (so many fun adventures!). He's also EXCELLENT with extremely nervous, easily startled dogs, but he also isn't afraid to realign bossy, mouthy behavior. Overall, you couldn't find a better pup pal, and when I just asked mine what he thought about Uncle Steve, we got a full five-star bark!
Steve is the dream pet sitter! He has kindly looked after our toy Aussie, Buffalo, on many a long and short term trip away from home. He assures that he is well exercised, works with Buffalo on his social anxiety, and is extremely mindful of Buffalo’s specific medical needs. He has administered meds and even taken Buffalo to a vet appointment that couldn’t be rescheduled. Steve has always gone above and beyond in treating our home with care, watering plants or bringing in mail. He sends plenty of photos of Buffalo to help with our separation anxiety. My suggestion. Hire him, and tip him well!
