I've had pets (often multiple at once) & have been trusted by friends & family to look after theirs for most of my life - I'm excited to now offer my experience to clients! They've always been part of the family to me & I treat them all as if they were my own. I'm comfortable with a myriad of types/breeds & have experience raising, training & living with high-maintenance dogs. I'm big on positive reinforcement to bring out the best in them, use a gentle approach to ensure the safety of all involved & focus on building trust by assessing each as an individual. Able to walk three medium-large dogs at once. Familiar with elderly/ill pets & the required care. Aside from working with animals, I've had a career in corporate environments doing creative work & maintain a compassionate professionalism in all I do.

I treat them as their own beings & not 'just' pets by understanding & respecting their physical, mental & emotional requirements, doing my best to meet or exceed them. My lifelong interest in psychology has been invaluable in my approach to caring for/working with animals & I studied hard to raise my own into the excellent canine citizens they became, relying heavily on bonding & positive experiences.

Upon reaching out to Steve, we had an undertrained and over excited puppy. Our puppy jumps and bites hands, but we had an emergency and needed a sitter. Steve met with us twice before we left him with our dog. He endured bites and jumps from an anxious dog before inevitably winning the dog over. It is a great display of patience, positive and affectionate energy, understanding, and skill. Over the week of his stay he provided updates & professional photographs of his adventures with our little guy. Pictures of our pup sleeping on Steve’s lap prove that Steve had our anxious puppy relaxed. His communication is excellent; prompt and thorough. He left the house better than he found it. Nothing but the best praise for Steve. Highly recommend!
Absolutely fantastic sitter! He took care of my two dogs from 9 AM to 10 PM and kept me completely at ease the entire day. He sent the absolute cutest photo updates constantly and maintained great communication. My dogs loved him and were in excellent hands. 10/10!
Steve was communicative, kind, and patient. One of my dogs is a bit shy with new people but he did not hesitate to make her feel comfortable. I would highly recommend him!

Currently open to just about anything, I do this full-time & can offer care suited to you & your pets' needs whether that's drop-ins, house sitting or something in between.
