Safety, trust & environment
I treat them as their own beings & not 'just' pets by understanding their physical, mental & emotional requirements, doing my best to meet or exceed them. My lifelong interest in psychology has been invaluable in my approach to caring for/working with animals & I feel the joy they've given me over the course of my life should be shared with others & their owners. Upon getting my incredible APBT girl I dedicated months & months to reading & watching everything I possibly could to ensure my behavior would set them up for success no matter the situation, so far that personal mission has been an exciting & fulfilling experience.

Pet care experience
Dogs have always been part of my family, from Beagles to Bullies & up to three in a home at a time. Friends, family (& now clients!) have trusted me with caring for their animals on a fairly regular basis doing anything from food/bathroom check-ins to walks, dog park visits & assisting with training. I'm big on positive reinforcement to bring out the best in them. Experienced walking three medium/large dogs at once. Comfortable with elderly dogs & their needs, including handling seizures & the appropriate care.
Cat care experience

Steve also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews

Steve was fantastic with my three dogs! His calm, easygoing energy made a noticeable difference right away. One of my dogs, Dolly, typically needs some time to warm up to new people but almost immediately she was walking happy and relaxed. This honestly blew me away. It's clear Steve has a natural way with dogs. I'd highly recommend him, especially if you have a pup that can be a little hesitant with strangers. We'll definitely be booking again!
Steve has been around dogs his entire life spending years as the caretaker of the family pets, be it his or otherwise, doing anything from the basics to challenging hikes together. He treats all animals as one of his own and thoroughly enjoys working with them. I attribute his Chloe’s happy, well-behaved nature to his diligent nurturing as his dog’s happiness and wellbeing is Steve’s #1 concern 24/7. He's conscientious, responsible, loving, dedicated and aware.
