I have a great amount of flexibility with my work schedule. I’m an early riser so early morning walks are a favorite activity. Frequent potty breaks and stretches in the fenced in yard are some of my favorite things to do - even without a dog!

Information Steve D. would like to know about your pet

Before any stay, I’d love to know a bit about your dog’s routine, personality, and any quirks. Things like how they do on walks, if they have any fears or triggers, how they are with other dogs, and what comforts them if they get nervous. Feeding schedule, treat preferences, and any health needs are also helpful. The more I know, the better I can make them feel safe and right at home.

A typical day

I try to follow each dog’s lead and make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and at home. If they’re playful, we’ll get the toys out and have some fun—tug-of-war, fetch (or at least our best attempt), or just running around burning energy. If they’re more chill, we’ll hang out on the couch for some belly rubs and downtime. Walks are always part of the routine, and I’m happy to go at their pace, whether that’s a quick stroll or a good sniff around the neighborhood. At the end of the day, I just want your dog to feel loved and cared for, like they’re with a friend they trust.

Pet care experience

I have had dogs my entire life; however after my senior dog passed away three years ago, I recently adopted a dog with a lot of anxiety and she is becoming braver every day!

Extremely attentive, caring, and compassionate. Could not have asked for a better sitter to board my anxious dog.

Steve did an exceptional job taking care of my dog, Winston, while I was traveling for work. He quickly adapted to Winston's needs and was great at following the schedule to which Winston is accustomed. He provided timely updates which was comforting to me. I am happy to have found a caretaker like Steve, and I will continue to trust him to look after Winston during future work trips. Steve is an honest and caring individual. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a caretaker for their dog(s).
