I have been retired less than a year. My time is all my own and of course the dogs in my care. Walks are one of the highlights of my day rain or shine. I can adapt my daily routine to match any dog in my care.

I have plenty of house space with doggie comfortable areas. Easy feeding and watering place. A fully enclosed easy to clean garden for a dog to relax in the sun or shade, when not out walking.

Knowing how much exercise and off/on lead requirements and their feeding schedule will help me to plan a fun stay for them. I can provide food bowls and some toys but please feel free to bring their own favourite ones!

I find the companionship of dogs amazing, I love seeing them happy and content! I enjoy playing in the house, going out on walks and cuddling up after the exercise.

Best thing about retirement is being out adventuring with both my daughters dogs. I have experience caring for dogs who are reactive, nervous and also fully blind. I enjoy seeing how happy they are outside, playing and cuddling. The rewards are ten fold any effort put in. My favorite walks are Lofthouse colliery and Stanley Ferry canal side, perfect for dogs. I am knowledgeable on the local area and know many walks suitable for all dogs, ages and abilities. I am also the holder of an enhanced DBS.

Oscar stays with Steve quite regularly now and absolutely loves it there.
My dog loves going to Steve’s. She knows she’ll get lots of fuss and attention, lots of walks, exercise & play. She always has a good time. She loves the company, it’s a bonus if Steve has another dog in his care.
My second time booking with Steve. Molly was clearly very excited to see Steve when we dropped her off - the best form of reassurance about how she enjoys her mini holidays with Steve! She has been loved and gets plenty of excercise so I am one happy dog Mum. Thanks, Steve! Will be booking again x
